giant characters suck
giant characters are slow as hell, anilaza moves litterly in slow motion. their defence does not justify their slow motion moves. they should not be that slow. just because a game from 2007 made them slow does not mean they need to be like this in a 2024 game. instead they could have made them faster like they should have been and to balance it they could just lower their defence so they will play like normal characters

please, remove this post and stop trying to share your opinion. "How about they just remove unique feature of the game and just make every character play the same"

i dont like giants either but theres a reason that they are in the game and no amount of crying will change it.

hold down when you tap x (or square). your dude will actually start fighting as if he knew his opponent was a lil guy.

Yeah, Giants are kinda dookie and in need of a lot of bug fixes. But even so, their playstyle is extremely fun, and it feels super good when someone's clueless against them.

I was dominating a room yesterday and one guy thought he was gonna dethrone me with Bebei Vegeta. I gave him a new belly button with all the Kamehameha spam :zaglol:

I love this game, but I agree. In the older games, giants were actually useful. They had their advantages and disadvantages that offered a different gameplay experience.

In this game, the camera is at an odd angle that makes it really hard to see your opponent. It is also nearly impossible to hit your opponent while on the ground. You basically become bigger, slower and easier to hit. Your "armor" doesn't really do much, as it will easily be broken before you can connect a hit.

I love the idea of giants being back, but as of now they seem like they need some work so they can function properly like they did in BT3.

giants sucked in BT3 as well. it seems they were very loyal to that game because they made the same mistakes with the character roster like having ssj4 vegeta instead of gt vegeta with all his forms from gt including ssj 4

Idk about BT1 and 2, but in BT3 they were very weak. From attacks being easy to step to their regular attacks not chaining together(dropping after 2-3 hits, only Baby didn't have this issue), and being even easier to harass in that game than in SZ. They're better in this game than they were in 3, but still very weak.

its not about them being weak vs strong. its about their battle animation being in slowmotion to justify how good they are defensivly. what you get as a result are characters that are strong but not fun to play with. and yes they are buffed in SZ compared to BT3. in that game they were both slow and weak at the same time. in SZ they are much better defensivly but still suck offensivly

Yet another thing proving devs never played their own game : giants basic rush attacks, on the ground, whiffs all day . . .

This game is a joke.

No idea what kinda of ultimate fanboy can still defend that hot crap with a straight face

Wrong actually. You have two types of rush attacks as a giant. Your perception button gets replaced by a rush that is meant to hit people on the ground whereas your normal rush is meant to hit in the air.

interestingly, There are a handful of Z rank players that I've run into that use giants, and they definitely use them well. I'm stuck between rank A1 and S5 also admittedly never have used a giant character, but the about 3 or 4 times I've ran into said Z rank giants i only managed to get at most 1 win out of the 3 rounds. They definitely know something we don't, only thing i noticed was that their fully charged downwards smash attack seems to be quite useful.

are you sure about that? giants back then werent even giant. they werent that much bigger and dident felt like giant characters really. and they were slower actually. i mean their flying and everything was fast but their animations were way slower. the camera in SZ makes it feel like a real GIANT character

Each Giant was a bit different back then. Great Ape Baby was extremely fast for a giant, he almost had the attack speed of Base Goku. Yeah the size is bigger this time around but doesn't really help when the camera is too jank to see what youre hitting.
