Honestly the What If made it more fun for me than get the Linear Dragon Ball Story for the Xth time in recent games.
BUT: This game is a Tenkaichi game, it's focused on combat. If you want to experience a game with combat but more centered on the WHOLE dragon ball story, I recommend Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.
That one covers all Z story with cinematic scenes and more insight into characters.
Sparking Zero story is told in Power Point slides most of the time, so for someone who doesn't know references you'd be a bit lost.
