Regarding Captain Ginyu's body change

I am under the impression that you can dodge almost any super/ ultimate attack in the game. Can you also dodge captain Ginyu's beam with a well timed Z-counter?
Are there other ways to counter it?
Is it possible to quickswap a character after he fires the beam?

I figured out you can dodge it, the timing just feels strict. I will keep this up for anyone else wondering.

similar question, is it even possible to counter an ultimate? I know you can push block to teleport, and I know you can dash to the side. And I know you can hold block, except against unblockables.

but can you actually super counter an ultimate? could've swore the AI did it to me but maybe im misremembering.

I tried this out for you, and it seems you can NOT super perception ultimates, even if they are both blockable and clashable.
You can block it, or you can vanish it by blocking just as it's about to hit you :)

edit: You can counter unblockables by hitting block at the right time to vanish, or try to get out of the way, but not much else.
