Devs had a Gohan bias

His ENTIRE storyline is almost fleshed out in this game’s episode mode, unfortunately they skipped to the Android saga, but they even gave you the option to interfere the Videl Vs. Spopovich fight during the Buu saga, and they added DBS content for him.

Even his alternate paths for DBS are really interesting. Admittedly, Gohan in the DBS anime was pretty lame, but they managed to make the alternate path pretty badass

Huge fan of DBZ Gohan btw so I enjoyed this episode, but I REALLY wished Vegeta and Trunks had this kind of treatment. I truly hope these mentioned episodes get expanded upon in a DLC

I really miss a dbs storyline for Vegeta, it's a glaring omission from the game

Why the games so good frankly.

I think it was probably somewhat rushed considering how dookie the worlds, and Japans, economy are.

I'm honestly glad it's more condensed than over drawn. I couldn't imagine a fight X amount of Saibamen being something enjoyable with the games AI.

You know Toriyama had a Gohan bias right?

He kept wanting to kill off Goku and have Gohan be the main character for Z but fans kept pushing back because of Dragon Ball.

As a fellow Gohan fanboy ever since I first saw the Cell games 22 years ago, I too greatly enjoyed his Episode mode.

I'm a little salty the Garlic Jr saga was left out though.

Piccolo was always Toriyama's favorite though, (great character choice). And yes I would of liked seeing Gohan turn into the main character during the Buu saga, but it seemed unpopular and scrapped for goku taking the spotlight again.

Would of loved seeing more Gohan in the Buu saga, his Ultimate form & Great Saiyaman presence had way more potential than what we got. This game has some very interesting scenarios for him though during the arc, honestly I liked it more than Majin Vegeta's presentation in this game ngl

Dude I would watch a spin off series of just Great Saiyaman.

Ya know, I never liked Majin Vegeta. At one point i liked Vegeta, until Trunks came from the future and wrecked Frieza, then I was like "Oh he's so much cooler than ol Veggie Tales" and then of course Gohan became a badass and well.. yea... lol

By the time the Buu saga came around I was long over Vegeta so Majin Vegeta never did anything for me. The Majin curse equippable in some of the old Budokai games was handy though iirc

I met my Dad during the Android saga, and we bonded over DBZ, and he got me The History Of Trunks VHS. That movie has a very very special place in my heart.

And yea he almost feels like a background character for much of Super, to the point where, at least to me anyway, the whole him slicing Zamasu in half almost felt shoehorned in and forced. Like at the last minute they were like "oh wait, this is Trunks' timeline, maybe he should be it's hero again. Maybe we shouldn't have Goku and Vegeta save the day"

Idk, i have a lot of mixed feelings about DBS as a whole. I liked it more than GT, but it doesn't hold a flame to most of the DB franchise imo

OH YEA I keep forgetting to watch that movie! I was going to after finishing Super and then I never actually finished Super, leaving 3 episodes to watch.

I've basically watched them after beating all the episodes in this though so I should really look that up
