Ability Items in Online battles

Are Ability Items allowed in Online Battles? I noticed there is a filter for Reflect Ability Items which I can't understand what it really means, and its by default set on Off.

reflect ability items off means that they are turned off and youre only matched with those who are also having that off

I guess it makes sense. I tried looking for some battles with the setting On and was quite surprised to find none. I guess people are trying to keep things vanilla.

Also doesn't help that "reflect ability items" is very unclear on what it actually means or does. I've also just been ignoring it and leaving it default

I'm pretty sure that means it MIRRORS the opponent items, ability items are always on even with reflect off

this is false. CPU battle seems to reflect mirror means on in my experience.

correct. it's very clear what it means. Auto though is a bit more unclear, it may only copy your opponent's ability items if they have them/have higher rarity of capsules than you, otherwise it might just use your own.
