🚀✨ Tips for the Alternative Ending in the SUPER VEGETA Mission! 💥👾

🌌👾 I'm playing Vegeta's story mission and I've reached the SUPER VEGETA mission, battling Cell and Trunks! 💥🏆 I managed to get through the main timeline, but how can I achieve the alternative outcome? 🤔🔄💫 Any tips? 😊✨

You have to beat them quickly. Pro tip, when you're in the mission, press start and look at the mission conditions. It will show you alternate victory conditions (but only when you're in the actual battle).

Does not show secondary objective, just "defeat cell and trunks"

You have to beat the special condition in the previous mission where you fight trunks in the hyperbolic time chamber.

Once vegeta says something along the lines of "Trunks is tough", retry. Trunks needs to say something like "Oh jeepers, dad's beating the shazbot out of me" if you're doing it correctly.

Vegeta never says anything like that. From an article I read the line you have to be careful of is something like "maybe I shouldn't use it after all." But this line is unfortunately right near the start of the mission so it's impossibly hard to do.

But also, that is not the branch OP is referring to. Super Vegeta has its own alternate path. Basically, you need to defeat Cell before he switches with Trunks.

I jumped the gun and thought because trunks signaled the androids, it didn't work. But all you have to do is get cell to low health quickly and do the same for trunks. Then, it'll automatically push you to the alt-cell saga ending, where you fight perfect cell, with Vegeta. In the regular ending, he doesn't fight perfect cell at all. I hope this helps. I've restarted this battle like 20 times because I kept thinking I missed the condition, lol.

lmao this happened to me in the fat buu fight as goku, kept thinking i had to beat him before i hit ssj3, almost did it too

I legit just figured it out. For the Super Vegeta path you need to defeat Perfect Cell QUICKLY. You will hear the standard dialouge from Cell saying he needs to transform and Trunks telling 18 to run. The next fight is the one that leads to "Total Victory". In order to achieve you to need defeat Cell very quickly specifically before Vegeta says "Nnngh at the rate I'm going I will need to use the final flash". Dialogue changes when you have the upper hand. If you hear dialogue about Final Flash your going the standard timeline. I personally achieved it in about two minutes with Sparking Mode and Big Bang Attack repeatedly.

i have playtested this mission after several failed attempts to achieve the alternate path, basically if you keep stalling cell will never switch to trunks, and there is no way you can kill cell because as soon as cell reaches 2 life bars the switch dialog starts, and even if you drop cell to zero life trunks appears right imediatelly.

and also if you stall with trunks, the mission never ends, but once trunks reach 2 life bars the ending dialog happens and the normal ending happens.

i have no idea how to trigger the perfect cell fight. anyone has any idea how?

if memory serves this specific mission is one of the rare few where you do two fights before you're technically moving to the next spot on the story map. Kill Imperfect Cell and Trunks as normal and then in the fight immediately after against Perfect Cell you can do the secondary objective.

Yes it's weird. There's an alt path in the start of Vegeta's Majin Buu arc where you need to the alt path on the Kid Trunks node and then the alt path opens up on the cutscene node right after. They're just kinda random about it once in a while.

So people aren't explaining this the best so I'll help
The imperfect cell and Trunks parts are scripted and you need to lower Trunks health enough for the next cutscene to kick in where Cell becomes Perfect Cell, the fight with Perfect Cell **Is the same mission, not a separate mission, even though a cutscene plays between fighting Trunks and Perfect Cell**, it is at THAT point that you need to beat Perfect Cell as fast as possible before the game gives you the use of Final Flash.

Because there's a cutscene, it's easy to assume you've moved onto a different mission but you haven't, the cutscene where Cell becomes perfect and then you then fight Perfect Cell are all part of the same mission.

You need Trunks at 2 bars before he says "Maybe I won't use it after all" I recommend to just throw him away, spark, then immediately combo into ult, drop the bars ASAP. If you do it correctly Trunks will say he will do it, if you see that keep going at him until he transforms, after that you're in the right route.

Btw, later on, there is another battle mission with Kid Trunks, you have to win fast again, but don't let him take your first bar, if you do it you will be able to shake off Babidi's control.

But I believe with Vegeta you have to finish the mission first with the normal route, then after that you can do the optional.

basically its a tricky one. The super vegeta stage actually contains two separate fights. Imperfect cell that switches to trunks and than after a cutscene a fight against perfect cell fight. thats all in that one single stage. The additional condition shows up on perfect cell fight. So just casually beat imp. cell and trunks and than quickly beat perfect cell and see if the dialogue is different between fast and slow perfect cell takedown.

To actually do the mission you have to be perfect cell within the allotted time frame not second form cell before trunks comes in just the final fight you have to defeat cell quick enough if I could show a screenshot I would.
