Yeah and that’s just it. Why do EA sports games and CoD games still sell well despite it being a functional copy paste? Because some people just want more of the same stuff they love. Wouldn’t have genres either if this wasn’t true.

Theres a large casual gamer audience that eats this kind of stuff up and doesnt expect much more. Look at EA games and COD. Same thing over and over. Ubisoft has admitted they live off the casual uninformed audience. Bandai does too, they use nostalgia to never have to be creative.

not to mention this title was in devlopment for 5 years which is insane for a project this size. yearly games obviously have a development time of 1-2 years depending on how it's done.
