Sparking Zero IS NOT A DEAD GAME. STOP BEING A SHEEP
Lets be real, for a fighting game and especially an anime one, having over 15k players a month after release and especially on steam is an amazing feat. Given the console numbers as well this game likely has far above 50k+ active players. Stop believing ragebait headlines and following the bandwagon before forming your own opinion. It will be funny to see the numbers shoot back up the second the Super Hero DLC comes out with everyone wanting to play Beast Gohan :csgoskull: simple minded fools

i thought they said it would be difficult to add crossplay? Don't get me wrong, i would love to be able to play with my buddy on ps5. But for now, we meet up and play on split screen

I'm feeling that it's dead not because of active player count, but rather a complete lack of ANY patches or any kind of news other than vague DLC promises

There's no sign they're even planning on fixing issues like rush attacks missing constantly or story AI being too strong. They seem 100% focused on selling DLC which will probably be very lackluster
Beause story AI is not that strong like you wrote? You have skill issue and rufuse to earn? Its your problem. This not needing any fix and will stay as it is now.

they wont bother even learning how to play instead of button mashing like they been doing lot of ppl say the ai isnt strong at all so they make one for custom battles

My guy, you have ONE HUNDRED HOURS logged into the game, you cannot have that and act like you're a casual average player. I have a job and life so I can't dedicate dozens of hours to the game

I'm not the only one who thinks the story AI is broken. It gets literal buffs and the AI will perfect dodge and perfect counter constantly. Some aren't terrible, but then there's ones like the Goku Black/Zamasu fight where it's just ridiculous. It's not a "skill issue" or me "refusing to learn". I know how to play it. The AI just gets so many buffs that there's little room for error and the Black/Zamasu fight has you fight 2 OP buffed AI with a single character before finally forcing you to change to an underpowered Trunks while Zamasu stays buffed. That's ridiculous no matter how you try to spin it

Stop playing defense for the game. All you're doing is pushing even more people away from this dying game when you dismiss all criticism and act like it's the player's fault the AI will counter a counter near constantly.

I have countless hours logged for BT3 so it's not like I'm new to the series. This game is fundamentally broken on multiple levels.

But by all means, keep dismissing all criticism as "skill issue" because people can't dedicate one hundred hours like you can. Keep pushing people away from the dying game because you can't accept that not everyone can dedicate ONE HUNDRED hours to the game like you can. I'm sure the few dozen that will be around in a year's time will agree with you while everyone else moves on

Guy, you have 237 hours. You have no place to talk about how difficult a game is when you've had TWO HUNDRED HOURS obsessing over it. Dismissing everyone who can't dedicate more than a dozen in the span of a month is really telling on your part

You act like you know how I play yet literally have never once see me play. I know the series. I played a LOT of BT3 ever since I got it over a decade ago. This game is flawed. Dismissing everyone who criticizes the game does nothing more than make fewer people want to even bother with the community of this dying game

Sure but the excuse normally is well ITS a fighter game its supposed to lose players.... its this kind of game its supposed to lose players.

AT some point this game has to stabilize and its showing no life of doing so. games that are almost 2 years old, (SF6) and tekken 8 are on the verge of holding more numbers.

yall are seriously coping its wild.
Those games are different from Dragon Ball, so don't compare the two. Sparking ZO is built up, you know, for Dragon Ball fans, but this game is about how skilled you are as a player. The people who refuse to even learn the game leave, which is why people are still crying about the Great Ape Vegeta fight in story mode, which isn’t even hard, but they refuse to learn and get better, so they just quit. As for online, the toxic people in ranked and online aren't helping at all, making the game not fun with Afterimage Strike spam and cheesers. It's not fair to face those kinds of people when you're just trying to have fun.
I mean, FighterZ is an anime game. Still has active players despite being so old in comparison. SZ holds more players, but it's also BRAND NEW so it still has that shiny new coat. Want an outlier to compare? Tekken 7 has the same rough playercount as FighterZ. Tekken 8 is also pretty new so it has a bigger base, but when that gets older, it'll shrink

Keep in mind that if you only look at the player numbers like this, you're missing important factors like how the devs have done absolutely nothing for the game since release other than announce DLC. No patches, no news, no nothing. Just "hey, buy the DLC" and "hey, buy Xenoverse 2 DLC!". No news of any upcoming patches or even much news on what the DLC will bring. Gamma 1, and Gamma 2 are announed, but who is in "More"? Very vague and feels intentionally misleading to possibly hide how small that DLC might be. No new stages are announced or even hinted at

There's just not a lot of content for people to soak up. You have to take that into consideration when predicting the decline of a playerbase, not just dismiss it based on the genre and it being anime focused(which is odd as there are other anime games that still do well)

You know what they also said, that the online would work..... but here we are reliving jumpforce 2.0 again.

Yeah...... im sorry to tell you im not a fan of coping but the communication error is not mentioned in their December Patch tweet. So going into the holidays, its not getting fixed till after battle hour.

They are more then welcomed to prove me wrong, but i know where this road goes with bandai.

It's not dead yet, but it's going to die if Devs will continue to ignore complaints.

Game was released on October 11th and right now is November 21st and the most important problems with this game has been ignored so far.

How long will it take to address these problems ? 1 more month or 6 more months ?

Overall I'm extremely disappointed in new games. It's not just Bandai almost all companies become too greedy and lowered the quality of content.

Old game have obsolete graphics, but they have far better quality than what we have now.

It's either SJW and Woke Propaganda or broken game that have million bugs. Or both at the same time.

I'm not going to buy anymore new made games, they just s_u_ck.
you lost me at the "woke propaganda" lmao grow up

Its not Dead People just cant handle fighting games anymore. its that simple. the world is driven by emotion. nobody wants t just fight and have a good time. if you get beat you get back up type ♥♥♥♥. no now its just whining and crying, oh cheese this and ki blast that. who cares. play the game if not don't. nobody is forcing anyone to log in everyday. if you dont like the game dont play it.

Can we stop the cope, YES obviously today 7k players is still sufficient enough to qeue the game, but dont act like its not dying because the dev team refuses to work on the game in a timely manner.

The game needs severe changes to alot of its basic infrastructure (solving game breaking bugs), and needs severe changes to its battle mechanics......and were still 2-3 weeks away from battle mechanics being updated.

If a game like this dies faster than a game out for almost 2 years (sf6), and 10 months (tekken 8) what chance does this game have long term?

Even legends LIVE stream for legends fest tonight had 60+K players watching it.

Even during DOKKANS WORST reveal from the anniversary in july still had 20k.... people watching it.

You compare SZ to any other game out there, and it just shows that this game has huge problems.

You really don't understand how long it takes to go through the game's code to find the bugs and errors in every bit of it, then edit and fix those errors without breaking everything else. While working on the known issues, new bugs can pop up. Can you stop pretending like it's so easy to fix a game bug with the snap of your fingers? Because it's not. It takes time, money, and accuracy to pinpoint the problem and carefully fix it without breaking the game further. So unless you want even more bugs to pop up after each update, sit back and let them do their work. The update is coming. Slow and steady wins the race. Rushing updates just because you're impatient makes things worse.
