Important Message From Bandai Regarding Communication Errors and MORE
Hello Gamers, Friends, People who enjoy anime games and more specifically dragonball z games (legends, dokkan, sparking zero, XV, FIGHTERZ etc.) I have asked bandai a series of questions and gotten some answers. I will take out the GM's name just because they answered the questions and quite frankly they are the only ones to actually answer questions.

Other GM's have stated my questions were not in line with how their support works, but clearly its a bunch of BS

Before we get into it, i would like to thank everyone who got involved with:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/1790600/discussions/0/4702413442849493511/

you guys are simply amazing.

To all of you who have working games, i want you to enjoy sparking zero, but just know there are some players who can't enjoy the product as intended. I hope you understand we don't want to bash your fun, but this is necessary for everyone to see.

----------------MY questions------------------

1) Do you play games on steam, blizzard, origin, epic games (yes or no).

2) Do you think waiting 30+ days for a fix on a game worth $100 CAD (ultimate edition being 160 CAD through steam) is reasonable ? How much more can you ask the user to be patient.

3) Do you think customers like me don't understand what's going on? The patch you guys just announced for December is directly for battle hour......... the developers are clearly not taking this issue seriously enough

4) If you had these communication errors, Do you think the product i(DBZ sparking zero) is a scam yes or no.

5) Why do anime games that you publish take advantage of gamers and players who only support your company?

6) Jumpforce - HAD these issues in the October beta test of 2018...... you had effectively 4-5 months to fix the problems, and you never fixed it after 3 years...... Please comment on that.

------------------Bandai Support GM Response

Greetings,

This is GM XXXXX again from the Bandai Namco Entertainment America Player Experience Team, and I will be assisting you today.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment you are experiencing. We truly understand your concerns and appreciate the time you’ve taken to express them. I am sorry for the delay in your response. With that said, I will do my best to address your request by answering each point thoroughly:

1. While I am not personally a full-time gamer and I have not played on some of these specific platforms, I can confirm that our team is committed to supporting players across multiple platforms. We aim to provide a seamless experience no matter where you choose to play.

2. I completely understand how frustrating it can be to wait for a resolution, especially when you have made an investment in a game. While we strive to address issues as quickly as possible, some fixes can take time due to their complexity in terms of bugs that the community of Sparking! zero has experienced. We aim to balance providing a well-tested solution while ensuring that the quality of the fix meets your expectations. We appreciate your patience during this time, and we continue to prioritize resolving this issue as efficiently as possible.

3. I absolutely understand your frustration, and I want to reassure you that this game specifically is different from the rest. Your feedback, along with others’, has been forwarded to the development team. The December patch, which focuses on Battle Hour, is a part of the ongoing commitment to improving the game, but we are aware that there are other important issues that need attention, and we are actively working on it. I understand how important it is for you to feel heard, and your concerns will continue to be part of the conversation.

4. I can assure you that this product is not a scam. We are committed to providing a high-quality experience and have been working to address the issues that have arisen. We deeply regret any confusion or inconvenience caused by communication errors and technical issues. Rest assured, we take these matters seriously and are doing everything we can to rectify them.

5. We respect the passion that players like you bring to the community and want to make sure your experience is a positive one regarding if it is based on animation films or not, and we are sorry if it has felt otherwise. Any feedback that suggests we haven’t lived up to your expectations is something we take to heart and use to improve.

6. While we understand the frustration around Jump Force, we want to clarify that DBZ Sparking Zero is a new and distinct product. It is important to note that each game is unique and has its own set of development teams, priorities, and challenges. We appreciate your input, and, again, your feedback and the community feedback has already been forwarded to our relevant team regarding fixing the communication error messages that have been appearing widespread, especially among Xbox players. Rest assured, we are focused on resolving the current issues in DBZ Sparking Zero as quickly as we can.

I appreciate our interaction previously, but some of the answers I have provided are surface-level information only, to reiterate, since the questions you have raised regarding specific product issues or compensation are not within our direct scope.

Once again, we apologize for the challenges you have faced, and we truly value your feedback. Our team is currently investigating these issues, but we do not have an exact date for the update since we are still finding a solution, and I sincerely apologize for that.

Thank you for your continued engagement and patience.

Sincerely,

GM XXXXXXXX

I have a few more questions lined up for them....... and will keep you posted. Spike chunsoft has not responded 1 time in 3-4 weeks, this is just ABSOLUTELY shameful behaviour. Some of these responses are going to look very bad on bandai when they don't fix this.

I appreciate all the support the other thread has been given, thank you everyone for building a spirit bomb!.

It baffles me that Bandai, a multi-million dollar company with hundreds, if not thousands, of developers on it's payroll, can take this long to put out a patch, meanwhile 9 Days only has ONE GUY working as writer, developer, marketing, etc, literally doing EVERY job, and man was able to put out 6 patches in 2 weeks back in version 1.04 and 5, and nowadays they put out patches within a week of the bug being reported.

You'd think Bandai could at least KEEP UP with that, but nooo...

I have a feeling someone forced them to release the game when it was incomplete. I think less than a year ago, someone in the dev team said they were taking their time to make sure they made a proper Tenkaichi game, and then all of the sudden they announced a release day within a few months.

You can tell they put a lot of effort on some aspects, but then you see a lot of unfinished and untested things. Not to mention, blatant omissions of content we had in the older games.

My worry is that they will just patch it a few times and then expect people to live with whatever is left. Just getting to them to open a ticket is a very difficult process. Not to mention they have no forums.

A good thing I have to say about them is that once I managed to reach someone, they were actually very helpful, and they did seem take my report of a game-crashing bug seriously, even asking me for videos and expressing their concern.

I have expressed how I don't care about player numbers, as I don't play online, but it is concerning, given that player count determines if they keep releasing content and patches. I like the game and I still play it on weekends, but I don't like the state that it is in at the moment. It needs work.

So far, I've noticed only one bug fix. The dashing down while charging ki.

1) Did they even watch your video, i had someone reach out to me about it, they did not WATCH my video and i could check by analytics it was all me.

2) most of their responses are pre determined, and they have specific language that they make sure exists in the message instead of actually writing like a human being. To my knowledge there is only 1 GM who will provide you with an original response which is shown in this thread. Everyone else you can find similar copy pastas where 90+% of their message is the exact same.

3) the only reason why were getting a patch in the first place for December is due to the tournament.......in january 17-19th. These guys patch the game at levels that dont exist in any other game in 2024/2025 on planet earth.

4) I will give bandai credit in one regard, that they do respond to every message whether it be copy pasta or not. Spike chunsoft does not respond at all from their support email.

5) Bandai clearly takes advantage of users purchasing anime games. When this is not fixed in like 6 months, the response i have in this thread is gonna age well. Its really up to them to prove me wrong.

I am surprised, but they actually watched my video. I have one view from myself, another unknown, and a second unknown who watched it half way. I'm also concerned that this is a proven bug with a repeatable crash, and none of these patches have addressed it.

But for the rest, yeah, it's not looking very good. I hope they prove us wrong.

If its not fixed by 2025....... i will go right back to getting in that email box. They keep asking us for our extended patience.....

I also asked them how long is a reasonable time to wait for a fix? they could not answer for obvious reasons. The guy i spoke to apparently doesn't play games on other platforms........ are we actually trolling?. Bro only plays bandai games LMAO.
RyuO Nov 11, 2024 @ 7:36pm
for a game that cost me 149.99$AU, my patience is running low, i can't find a single match within a day, communication error mid match and many more. i feel like i got robbed
DoobZ Nov 19, 2024 @ 4:39am
I am experiencing the same issues. Can't finish a single match online without a communication error. I have done all of the fixes and troubleshooting possible
