I platinumized the game, almost 100 hours, it's good, but it's still not excellent.
The game lacks soul.
I expected much more, let's give it time.

P.S. I platinumized the game too but he is right
Losing players is normal, especially for single player games with linear worlds/stories.
BUT this is a multiplayer game, those games are held to a much higher standard when it comes to player retention.
As it stands this game failed at that.
I think the new Bleach game is going to blow Sparking Zero out of the water. Could be wrong though.
its only still alive because it SOLD as many copies as it did........ the drop off shows the game just aint as what it was advertised as.
So you all good. Problem is the overly simplistic game getting dull when every match is the same but "looks like the show, durrr."
It would be worrying if it was designed around multiplayer only and it's drop was this sharp. But this isn't the case fortunately. The sharp drop just shows that people had got their fill for whatever reason. Assuming is never good, especially assuming the worst.
People can play at their own pace. They aren't inclined to rush through anything either. I saw enough videos and trailers to know what we were getting. It is exactly what was advertised. Anyone who is upset it isn't the next big coop/multiplayer game and is disappointed, is solely due to personal expectations being way too high. As stated elsewhere, there's been plenty of footage to know what you're getting beforehand. This attributed to the sales numbers. And again, it isn't a multiplayer focused game, despite there being an online option. It isn't required and you gain pretty much nothing of value from it.
Having a good time, yeah online is all i use pvp.
Im here to stay for a long time.
Does the game have issues? Hell yeah it does.
Will the issues be fixed over time? Maybe, maybe not.
I'm still enjoying it playing random matches with friends and making custom battles.
People are treating this game like it is supposed to be the exception to the rule when it isn't just cause Dragon ball is popular.
Anime games have never been able to hold a big crowd. It had it's big moment on release still holding good numbers.
Xenoverse 2 had a peak of 20k and FighterZ had a peak of 50k and dropped to 15k a month later for steam numbers.
Everyone had their quick fun and has now moved on as yes it isn't the best playstyle to retain people. I am sure the nubmers will keep dropping till the DLC drops but this game is not dead or a failure by any means.
Everyone will come back to this game from time to time to have a quick fun match with their friends. Let's move on.
