What the hell happened to the Budokai Tenkaichi community?
Seriously guys, reading certain comments from this community makes the League of Legend community appear to be tolerant, leaving aside the only untouchable point which is the graphics, the game objectively have problems between lack of content, design of certain moves and characters, major balancing problems , connection and ragequitter etc... however it seems to me that people here defend this game as if it is god on earth, insulting anyone who wants to bring such problems to light...

Am I the only one who noticed this?
Is everything OK?

I remember that when I was a kid playing with my friends in the afternoon when I came back from school, not the wild west, criticism serves to improve a game (which personally I don't think is that great...), if you don't know how to accept them then maybe it's better that Sparking Zero dies as soon as possible...

This community seems divided between two equally passionate sides, one determined to defend the game at all costs as the true successor to BD3, and the other thinking this game is the worst thing since Dragonball Evolution.

Actually, these past few days seemed filled with people with the latter opinion, bashing the game. Usually the only defenders are those for allegedly OP attacks, where the response is basically "Learn how to dodge bro."

Sometimes I feel like this whole community is getting thornier and thornier as time goes on. At least there's the subreddit Ningen to embrace the silliness of Dragonball. It's the closest thing to a wholesome environment, and its a meme posting sub. :lunar2020gigglemonkey:

Add crossplay and all the problems will go away.

The problem is also generational - adults who grew up with DB and DBZ (and ps2 games) and teenagers who are DBS fans and know nothing but blue and pink hair and discover tenkaichi games for the first time. Younger people don't care about technical problems, they just want to use vegeto blue or mirai migate pink oozaru and spam special attacks.

Problem is that the adamant defenders of the game likely are having their opinions guided by fear. We waited 17 long, lonely years before getting a game that remotely came close to succeeding the Budokai Tenkaichi title, and people are viscerally afraid that if they show anything besides ruthless sheep-like support for the game, it'll just get the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise shelved again. They recoil in terror of criticism like a vampire to a cross, like even entertaining the notion that the devs could be asked to do better will get the game killed.

Do I want Sparking Zero to succeed? Of course I do, I absolutely love Budokai Tenkaichi, but I'm not blind to the litany of issues this game is being plagued with at the moment are borderline unacceptable for what has the potential to be one of Bamco's new flagship titles.
