Tribute for Akira Toriyama in the game

If I was Kevin, I would be tossing in my grave if my last memory as Batman was the portrayal done in Suicide Squad.

I do hope Akira Toriyama gets his own tribute though. Preferably without making the game about killing Goku and then parading his corpse around (Wild I even have to be worried about something like that).

For that to be relevant it would be more akin to if "Grandma Goku" dies versus the "creator" of the series dragonball, not a voice actor. Even with k.c that's fan service based on nostalgia from the 90s series, the demographic for movies now as much as you want to disagree isn't for fans of nostalgia, it's for normies that watch Hollywood movies for the purpose of just that, rip the band-aid off and it makes perfect sense.

Now having said that......Toriyama is a hack/not original, kid yourself if you must. Journey to the West has been done so many times it isn't funny, if he didn't do the manga equivalent of bringing it to western audiences someone else eventually would have, put on a pedestal because of the demon wank or no....but I digress. I don't thinking putting someone on a pedestal that puts out more "demonic" versus "angelic" influences is worth the time, & that's saying that while wholeheartedly hating the western take on Abrahamic religions and, just the same, don't agree with what modern day "Jews" and "Arabs" are doing in the world stage as of late, even though the "Jews" the world focuses on are closer to Slavic whites than brown Afro Arabs. In laymen's terms the Ashkenazi jews, versus the predating and earlier stock composed of Sephardi and Mizrahi jews.

If we're being real on the undertones, One Piece/Naruto do a much better job of putting Eastern lore into Western media with their respective takes of Kaguya-hime/Bamboo Cutter, than what Dragonball does with Journey to the west/Wukong, even going the extra mile to make it "satanic" when referencing the Abrahamic side of world culture compared to when the aforementioned series do it. That is not debatable. Even specifically with One Piece and the "devil Fruits" the undertones relate to liberation and freedom, well before the manga-current lore that's being presented. Compare that to the undertones of DemonBall with the whole "hail satan" whatnot and it's "Detective Conan".......

Even Toriyama's LITERAL last mark to make ANY chance of heart/have a good conscience....he still chose inherently to go wanking off the Demon World saying the demonic side of things hold more significance than anything else but okay/

I fully agree with you and I was about to write the same thing about Kevin Conroy. But I don't think he needs to roll in the grave for that embarassing game. Maybe he was told that he was going to take part in something great and in the end we know what happened. So he shouldn't feel any shame for his performance which is always amazing, no matter in what situation he performed. But the fact that they put that tribute in the end is nothing to be proud of for Kevin, it was an embarassment for the people who put that in the end, because they treated the character which Conroy portrayed, to put it mildly, like trash, and then they put tribute with mindset like "here is your tribute and this is how we respected your character". So if anyone should be ashamed of something, it's them.
