What's the point of this game?
I'm pretty casual to the Dragon Ball video games. I like the one where you can make your own character & I liked the one where it was like a on rails RPG.

I just have a hard time understanding what this one is other than a 1v1 fighting game. I hope it's not just that. When I looked over the page I saw the dreaded word "online" which is never a good indicator for a single player experience.

I have a sneaking suspicion this is just going to be a 1v1 fighting game and not much else. Is that a fair assumption from the marketing material?

Did you never play the Budokai Tenkaichi or Raging Blast games?
Check them out - Sparking Zero is exactly that but bigger and more modern

Probably just the best DB game ever made.
Know no other way of describing it.

So you like Xenoverse 1&2 and Dragon Ball Online thats nice but have you never played the Budokai tenkaichi games? I would reccomend to try them out.

Plus your not forced to buy Sparking Zero you can just stay on playing Xenoverse 2 (and am hoping for a xenoverse 3 with the unreal engine tbf because lets be honest here the Graphics in XV2 are.. a bit dated)

Just look up tenkaichi 1 2 or 3 and you will understand. its a fighting game not story game.

Fun is the point
It pretty much will be a 1v1 arena fighter. Gameplay will certainly be similar to the other Tenkaichi games. If you're worried about singleplayer content, don't be, I got at least a thousand hours of fun out of Tenkaichi 3 back in the day, just playing against the cpu and doing the lil extra modes in that game. There will be story modes, and other things to mix up the gameplay, but if you're a Dragon Ball fan at all, keep an eye on this one.
