About characters

Do you have to pay to have more characters? Or they are all obtainable from day 1 by playing, these bandai monkeys do not specify anything.

Everything they talk about in the ultimate I hope can be achieved with the base game edition. Since an ONLINE game is monetizable in a THOUSAND WAYS more than paying to have a character

There should be 164 characters obtainable in the base game, otherwise the character screen they've been showing would be false advertising.

So what I heard is all the 164 characters will be released with some being dlc (included in ultimate and deluxe edition preorder) that will give you 20+ characters plus 7 with the preorder bonus and i think 1 more if you get deluxe or ultimate edition with the shenron thing, I don't know if that's how it works

I hope they are not such relevant characters, but since it is an ultimate, I think yes and I am afraid of who they are and how memorable they are (I mean, having to pay to play with Goku like in fighterz is stupid), I'm not saying that do it here, but there will surely be some character of that caliber.
And I will buy the game. But I hope the transactions don't taint it. They specify Shenron and it should be invoked by itself while playing

There will be 164 characters in the base roster that you will unlock by playing the game's story mode, the Gogeta and Broly pre-order bonus just means you don't have to play the story-mode to unlock them. There is also a mystery character in the pre-order bonus bringing the total up to 165 characters, then there will be at least 20 or more characters with the following 3 DLCs that are all from DBS SuperHero and Daima.

Tbh I get superhero but daima...?

All characters but kids, can't say I'm hyped for that. I'm buying special edition for the 3 day early access along with the dlc, even though I dont care about that. But they're good to have and besides, the dlc could include beast gohan and orange Piccolo, along with cell max and the gammas.... thinking about it that was the entire cast

ok so the pre order characters only going to be for people who payed the extra money to get them

Preordering will give you 6 early-unlocks (characters who are already in game) and one new character who will be a DLC sometime after launch.
