Possible system requirements?
Hi guys, I am interested in playing Sparking Zero and I know there is still a long time before its release but are able to speculate the possible system requirements for PC with the new gameplay showcase trailer?

It's not possible to make a guess just based on what we can see from the trailers (for all we know, it might be a prerendered scene that we are seeing), but I wouldn't be too concerned about system requirements if you have a current low to midrange gaming pc (maybe something that has a GTX 1650 or higher).

Bandai Namco published anime fighters that rely on cel-shaded visuals generally have a good track record of having low system requirements (Xenoverse 2, FighterZ, MH One's Justice, the Naruto games, One Piece Burning Blood, etc. all run well even on a GT 1030).

I have a 1650 with i5 9300H and 8gb ram

I'd be concerned if i were you.
Will you be able to play the game? Yeah
Will it be enjoyable? Absolutely NO

All those games as the other guy said surely run, but you can count the pixels on each character with a 30 fps lock (if you're lucky)

The GPU itself was already on the cheaper end when it came out, and that was actually 3 generations ago, not years, generations (2000 series, then 3000 and now we're at the 4000).
If you're into retro gaming or simple indie games that's cool, but even "light" games like those dragonball ones still pack a punch to old machines.

Also remember that even tho they usually say "8 gb is enough for gaming" that's actually total bs.
Ram itself doesn't make the pc fast, but it allows the cpu and the gpu to do their job.
Maybe if the only program active in your pc was the game itself that could be true, but even the operative system itself eats savagely at your own ram, much less any other background app that may even be impossible to disable.
Like, right now while i'm writing this stuff don't have all that much on background, I mainly have steam, the antivirus and the browser open cuz till a few mins ago i was watching a video (and steam+chrome take only 1.3 GB) but right now i already have 7 GB of ram full, if my pc's max were 8 I would really struggle to do anything as the pc would start to go slow as ♥♥♥♥.

Gonna make a quick example that should make everything clear:
Picture that one time when you tried to do something on your phone, nothing heavy at all, you weren't gaming or doing anything, just chatting, then tried to scroll for some news to see what's going on and you saw that the phone was real sluggish, the screen's fps was real low, then you tried to go into the setting to see why were you seeing everything at 6 fps.

You've already guessed it by now but yeah, that's what happens when the ram is ALMOST full, like its not even full but its already gravely damaging to your experience.

If you ever get to get to fully use 100% of your RAM then the PC will fully freeze, becoming totally unresponsive, even using only 80%+ should start to slow things down, 90%+ your pc will start to beg you to end its suffering.

Also remember that getting a hard disk is a no no right now, get yourself a ssd/nvme.

It sounds like a lot, but actually its not as bad as it sounds, just save up 100-150 bucks each month, and by the time the game releases you'll be able to get yourself a pretty solid machine.
If you just want to play the game you could also keep the pc you've now, but the experience will simply be lacking; in the end tho, the choice is yours, as of now a "decent" PC doesn't even cost that much, if you don't wanna do all the work by yourself you can even get a 3060, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd and a i7 10700 f prebuild PC for 900 bucks (something i randomly found with a 10 sec search on amazon), and that's way above the requirements, so you could even get something cheaper if you wanted to.

Thanks for the help, the reason of the post was because I was already a bit worried after what I saw, my laptop has an ssd already. Currently, I am not planning to build my own pc, but in the future I will. But going to trust my gut that it won't be that bad of experience, like I thought it would be with Naruto Storm Connections and am running the game smoothly at 60 fps.

Also about the prices, I already knew it's not that expensive and I built one for my friend recently that he bought the components for about 1200€ without monitor and peripherals , and it has the 4060 and runs like a beast knowing it wasn't high end.

Again, thanks

This kinda didn't age well... Search the system requirements on Google, they're hidden in the Bandai website but appear on Google.
Minimum is 12GB RAM and a 660. Yes, a 660. I quite don't believe the game runs on a 660 but a 1650 GPU is more than enough to run this game on low

It should run well for 1080p 60fps according to pc requirement

I kinda stand my ground.
As "yeah, playeable, but not enjoyable"
The main reason I that on Yakuza (an entire different series I know but listen) and dragonball Kakarot it's possible to lower the quality while keeping the resolution.
The result....is (at lowest levels) disgusting to say the least.
Yeah, if you lower everything then you actually can play, but if sparking is gonna be like those 2 games when it comes to graphic settings (Kakarot and Yakuza kiwami 2), by putting everything on the lowest setting, even spotting the differences between each ssj would be hard.
So when I see "minimum requirements" I tend to have those Vietnam flashbacks.
Until the game releases I'll keep on waiting

According to the minimum requirements that were deleted off Bandai's website, this is above the minimum requirements, but it recommended at least 12gb ram, so I recommend upgrading that. It's cheap and easy to upgrade your RAM.

As for your GPU, you might want to upgrade, the minimum requirements say your specs are fine, but I wouldn't rely on a deleted page. you can find 3060 TI/3070’s for pretty cheap used nowadays and they would be a significant upgrade for what you already have

also worth pointing out but the DE Yakuza games support FSR3 Frame Gen, which might be a lifesaver, but I doubt Spike would go out of their way to implement it
