i won't lie DBX and DBX2 has spoiled me when it comes to custom character in these games so i hope this follows suit and gives us a custom character option

I'm mixed on the idea. While I do enjoy ♥♥♥ in Xenoverse and thought it was the only real positive in Ultimate Tenkaichi, I don't want it to take much resources away from the rest of the game.

Personally I would rather they didn't.

Personally, I don't think a ♥♥♥ is needed for this game. The Tenkaichi games stand well enough without it, BUT... a CaO would be pretty cool to see if it isn't too costly. I'd love to dress Dragonball characters in different outfits. Imagine Raditz in a Goku Gi or Yamcha in Vegeta's Buu Saga outfit. I'd love to see a game tackle something like that in the future. It'd definitely help the what-if scene much better.

Dragonball games are about playing Dragonball Chars, NOT OC FANFICS with stupid combiner builds.

BT games let you buff stats, thats all it should be, and if they have a brain they will copy the tetris buff system RB1 used and apply it to this game as it was far more flexible then the BT3\RB2 one.

Character creation is so much extra work. We've seen they can do it from A Hero Nobody Knows and Jump Force but those games had a lot of issues

Nah. I feel like the whole fun of these games is the crazy "what if" stuff and weird matchups like Nam vs Frieza or Yamcha vs the universe (literally) and stuff like that. CaCs can stay in Xenoverse. Like yeah, you could argue "but then you can also have fun with your OCs" but look man. If the OC creation isn't going to allow me to be an OG Dragon Ball bear mercenary type or a dog person (and I know for a fact that it wouldn't), I kinda don't need it. Yeah.

it may say i've only played 100+ hours of XV2 on here but thats just the pc version i have it on switch and xbox, on the switch a have over 300 hours never touch a single cannon character in that game their just a waste of roster space for me

I've found in modern games that most ♥♥♥ systems come with the baggage of neglecting more important systems to support user characters i.e. watered down stories, overly generic character movesets, focus on ♥♥♥ microtransactions, etc.

Like someone said earlier a Soul Calibur-style ♥♥♥ would definitely work, just being able to "reskin" existing characters (or even Tekken style of just adding cosmetics to em). What I want even more is a more fleshed-out Potara system. Lemme give characters weird properties or replace blast stock skills or just make some truly scuffed loadouts

I want ♥♥♥ but not for the main story, I HATE silent protagonist and honestly something that ruined XV2 for me was the fact their was not one, BUT 2 Silent protagonist, just nodding their heads and staring into the void with brain damage. NOW if it was specifically ♥♥♥ meant for online battles, local battles, etc I would be perfectly fine with it. Otherwise I DO NOT WANT another silent protagonist. Controversial opinion, fallout 4 was amazing with their voice protagonist. Only reason it did so poorly with it is cause the voice protag never did what the text exactly said, for example I dislike you could turn into, punching the guy in the face and saying youll murder his entire family. If a voice protag is done it needs to be done right where you either follow the story OF a character you make, OR the options given actually say what you are gonna say and arnt to vague.

To add to this further, I do feel that ♥♥♥ tends to be an easy way to say ♥♥♥♥ quality, we are gonna make a silent protag and just do whatever. I dont want a 100% self insert. I want a character I can customize and MAKE abilities for. Not copy the kamehameha, I WANT to make my own Ki based abilities legit a game where there is a Ki attack creation system would be amazing.

An Idea Iv had for the longest of times was a game based on what Freiza said during his arc "Only one other person has driven me to this form" MAKE A GAME ABOUT THAT LEGIT. I want to see the story of the 1 person who drove freiza to use his final form before Goku. I want more stuff in the realm of Dragon Ball, but not related to Goku and the gang. I want a new story, new characters, etc. Goku over and over and over again is way to repetitive, I wish gohan became the main character after the cell ark like it was originally planned as well. It would of been a nice change for the series to push away from Goku and push toward new characters, possibly even having death have consequences instead of "oh lets go find the dragon balls again!"

Again this is just my opinion, and me rambling cause I felt like it. Dosnt need to be taken to heart or anything.
