Another Spike Chunsoft fighting game
I think everyone has learned their lesson by now about a fighting game developed by a studio that specializes in visual novels. Wonder what Bandai Namco has against developing these games in-house.

Imagine if the next inevitable Shonen Jump crossover were to have the tagline "From the creators of Tekken and SoulCalibur"

I mean fourth times the charm after J-Stars, Jump Force, and One Punch Man right?

At this point, i'm convinced that Bandai Namco's money is just being funnelled into Spike Chunsoft's self-published games.

I thought their most well-known project was DanganRonpa

They've literally been missing the mark on more recent fighting game entries so the concern is there.

Before the merger with Chunsoft in 2012 to what we now know today as Spike Chunsoft, Spike developed the Budokai Tenkaichi series. A lot has changed since then though. They're more noteworthy now for both the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games and DanganRonpa.

Chunsoft was literally made to create the Sparking games on the PS2 from staff from Budokai and Botuden devs

No? The BT/Sparking games were made by Spike before being merged to Chunsoft to make Spike Chunsoft in 2012.

Spike developed the first 5 games just so you know OP.
But they were devoured by Chunsoft right after the last one which was Raging Blast 2 the 5th game in the BT series.

You are very correct we may end up with a bad game....... But maybe just maybe they still have the source code and animations from Raging Blast 2 and are working from that, if so they can't mess up very bad. I so hope that is the case.

I very much hope that is the case, I have been waiting for a Raging Blast 3 now for over a decade.
Xenoverse is a joke, mostly ruined by its cac and poor mechanics they tried to mimic from this series.

If this game still turns out to be bad, I think one can safely assume that whatever money Bandai Namco gives to Spike Chunsoft will instead be used for their self-published titles
For me Spike Chunsoft is the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series and not a visual novel company.

Spikechunsoft was always the one who made all the Tenkaichi games since the PS2 days, and I'm okay with that :) idk why you're complaining

Sorta incorrect. Spike made the games, not Spikechunsoft. Different dev teams, from what I hear.

Spike was merged to Chunsoft and created Spike Chunsoft. Their more notable fighting game releases since then were J-Stars, Jump Force, and the One Punch Man fighter. Visually, it looks good but I'm worried about gameplay aspect.

Yeah, that's what I meant, ty. I'm lowkey worried too, but I have hopes. From what I'm hearing, they're referring HEAVILY to the BT series and possibly raging blast. Im sure they're doing their best to be careful.
