In game title, it says "Multiplayer". In game tags, it says "singleplayer". Is Singleplayer available ?

Hi! Yes you can play both singleplayer or multiplayer - the multiplayer is friend invite and (not like an MMO) :)

There's no split screen unfortunately, we used that image to show off a variety of hats your kitty can wear!

do you think it would be possible to use NucleusCoop as an unofficial split screen? it essentially runs the game twice in two windows allowing for seperate inputs.

Honestly I have no idea!
By all means though if that's a necessity for you, feel free to test it out when we launch tomorrow - Steam will let you play for up to 2 hours and get a refund within 14 days if you don't like it (or if you can't get the split screen to work). We do support LAN connection, so if you're running the game twice on the same Steam account you might be able to host and connect to a multiplayer session by turning Steam off in the main menu and activating the LAN option.
The only thing I can think of is the UI might not scale correctly if the split screen will be cutting off the screen size, unless you have a super wide monitor :)

its just me and my cat here, i dont think she'd be too keen on playing with me! so, i mostly was asking for everyone else who may be interested in such a feature. i do think its super cool that you were open to the question! a lot of developers have differing views on programs like this. From the sound of things, NucleusCoop might be possible with Heist Kitty. ill definitely be tinkering with this tomorrow! ill make a post and maybe a guide to go with it if i get it working.

That'd be so helpful to players that do want to use it!
We just want players to be able to have as much fun as possible with our game - we don't mind where they get their fun from, even if it's a third party software :)

You can invite as many friends as you want - the only limit is how much your PC can handle. Our recommended specs are based on 4 player multiplayer, and our optimisation efforts are tested with 4 player multiplayer maximum :)
