Cheating is still a problem

How is the game this old and there are still cheaters rampant throughout? What are you idiots doing?

I talked to a cheater today in game. He told me that there are free cheats on github and other sites. He uses it and hasn't been banned in 8 months. Developers please note that the game is in trouble. It's not a joke when cheaters use free cheats from the forum or github. You can find that cheats and make a good defense against hacks. It's impossible to play!
Today's cheater admitted that at first he downloaded the cheats only to make the players brighter and easier to see. But as soon as he came across cheaters with ESP and AIM BOT, he started using other cheats in a rage. I'm dropping this game until the developers take this problem seriously.

Do you play on US servers? Go to European servers and play 10-20 matches and you will see why no one wants to play. I play on US servers myself sometimes. USA have 10 times less cheaters, but ping above 120 makes it hard to play.

I play PUBG myself and cheaters are very rare. Note PUBG is free and Marauders is a pay to play game where online is dying.

In the beginning there were 2 European servers. But because of the huge amount of cheaters and bugs online has critically dropped. Developers left only 1 server. Online in Europe 1-30 people, no one wants to play. Because of this, the chance of running into a cheater is much higher. Sometimes there are only 2 players in a match.

I don't come across Rage cheaters that often. But there are a lot of cheaters in the game with macros or hacks that remove recoil from weapons and about 5-10% of users in the EU with wallhack or radar.

The same thing happened to me, I'm such an idiot that I bought it recently and I haven't stopped running into disgusting cheaters in every game who actively hunt down players, really what a disgusting game and the worst thing is that I don't know how to ask for a refund if I pass 2 hours of play, this game is unplayable and unbearable, super frustrating and absolutely, everyone uses cheats to play this miserable game and when I wanted to report with screenshots on Discord guess what, on Discord they know who the cheaters are, who cheat and why they cheat and protect them because only the cheaters by playing are giving life to this dying game that's why they don't do anything against the cheaters why are there only cheaters left and they should take care of them why are only those left that's why when recognizing their names when reporting or contacting the admin they told me crybaby that I don't know how to play or I'm not a good player for not knowing how to use aimbot that I should shut up and get out of their game that's what the hacks said, that that was their game and that I large, in the official marauder forum and the moderators blocked me for the accusation, how nice, right? The truth is that I just want the money invested in this game back because I will never play it or play anything from this company again, for things like this one opts for piracy and the truth is I have never had such an unpleasant and disgusting experience in my life with any game ever, if dissatisfaction with a product that was not what they promised, but nothing more, please do not buy marauder do not waste your money or your time with this game, or its people, since even the marauders community is supertoxic and the moderators who are supposed to be part of the development team or placed by the development team who have told me that and done that, being they part of the problem, let me know that the game is irremediably dead and that I do not believe, that they think about doing something if that is their community, and they know it, the truth is a total disappointment, it gave me a disgust that cannot be described in words true, the worst game of my life, a disappointment and a blatant rip-off that should no longer be in the steam store for these things nor for sale either, so I ask you to report the game as I and some friends did to try to get it removed from the platform and stop scamming more people.

The vast majority of players you encounter in this game aren't cheating. This game has a pretty steep learning curve and the skill gap is real, plus it's in early access and sometimes bugs, desynchronisation, hit registration issues, and other problems come up. Lots of newer players don't understand the game mechanics and mistake legitimate gameplay for cheating, too. Happens all the time.

I am speaking about things I have seen quite often. I have been around since early access started and have heard and seen video of the claims of "cheating" that ended up being nothing more than a bug or legitimate gameplay. One of the most blatant examples is when someone claimed another player was cheating because they unloaded a drum magazine from a Thompson into them and they didn't die - but upon further investigation it turns out the player being shot was using a heavy shield and those block 100% of the damage from any projectiles that hit them. A simple lack of knowledge can make something seem like cheating when it isn't.

As I mentioned above there is likely a large skill gap between you and the majority of players that you're running into. A lot of players who still play the game often are much better at the game than the average person. Their skill level is higher and they likely know the map layouts really well.

Sound is very important in this game and you are probably being much louder than you think you are. Most actions you take cause sound and players can often recognise when another player is nearby based on sounds. Sometimes people finding you seems odd but sound and map knowledge can narrow down a player's location pretty fast. This can often make it seem like someone may be cheating when they aren't.

The Marauders community is not "super toxic." Please don't judge the entire community based on a couple bad interactions with a few individuals.

Wow, what a way to excuse poor behavior and development just because “it happens to other games too”. And you’re telling me to grow up? Get over yourself, ♥♥♥♥♥♥
