Flamethrower Contract

Been stuck on the flame thrower contract for nearly a month. The inability to craft or purchase in the trader is a missed opportunity. For how rarely flame throwers appear, along with it's ammo, in the game make progressing now boring. Hear teams are spawning into a match together with a gate transmitter, and killing each other, just to get past the contract, which is a poor game challenge. Grinding for trader materials, for the "once in three week" chance of a flamethrower, is off putting. Update the contract, crafting system and overall item economy - or continue to lose players. Wipe and refresh more often.

The game is currently stagnant. Boring zero to hero progression. Constant spawn campers. None of the things to do in PVP are rewarding.

Absolutely no desire to continue playing, presuming this game is gonna continue to die off.

Presenting these solutions, rather than just presenting problems, is the way to help.
The developers seem like good people, and i'm interested to see if they can actually attract players and improve the game so it can survive.

While I agree that some missions, and the economy, still need some work (and as an early access game I'm sure it'll receive the attention it needs) my experience differs from yours on this mission. I have had no issues with this mission, nor any challenges in completing this mission, at any point in time and I've completed it at least 6 times since I started playing Marauders. Flamethrowers and fuel have always been relatively common for me.

If you're struggling to find anything then I suggest trying to trade for what you need. There is a trading channel, the Port Royal Trading Post, on the official discord server where you can trade for items that you need. Sometimes just dropping into the discord and asking for items works, too. Sometimes folks are willing to just give you stuff.

Its also the fact there’s several types of this mission aswell. Kill X guys with X rare gun.

Sure any other gun has range.
But cant find any of these guns still unless your consistently pulling off heists.

Are flamethrowers really that rare? They've always seemed pretty common. I've had one in the trader section (I think it was 6 silver coins plus some money or something similar for it) and found a few badly damaged ones as loot in raids
Play Raider mode and hit up armoury a few times, that's the quickest way to get one short of looting it off of another player

You're right, flamethrowers really aren't that rare but it's possible that BigBootyBlyth has been having bad luck with the loot RNG. That definitely happens from time to time.
