Fix Marauders anti cheat - not launching error

If your game doesn't launch past the loading tile and you are recieving an error for file permissions from Denivo's anti cheat.

The fix which worked for myself and my friends ->

You need to grant Steam.exe Administrator Rights on launch

Find your steam folder location typically:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam (64bit installation)
  
• C:\Program Files\Steam (32 bit installation)

Find "steam.exe" -> right click -> properties -> click "compatibility" tab -> tick "Run this program as administrator"

This will allow the file the correct permissions to be able to install the Denivo anti-cheat system.

So, give steam full control and Denuvo anti-cheat access to everything at on your computer? This seams like a great fix.....

I will be asking for a refund if I cannot get this game to run anymore. This fix seams to have broken the game.

This fix didn't break the game, some people simply haven't done what needs to be done in order to install it properly. Just run Steam in admin mode so the update can install properly, then go back to running it in regular mode if admin mode scares you.

Once in a while the back end connection issue is server side. It happened last night and several players on Discord were able to reconnect after a couple minutes without verifying files.

Thanks for your reply. I am legit more frustrated about it not running still than about the Denuvo Anti-Cheat program. Didnt know anything about the program until today. I still cannot get the game to run even in admin mode so...

I disagree that this fix didn't break the game. It literally is not playable now.

Would full uninstall help? I ok'd Denuvo Anti-Cheat and have run Steam as admin. Still can't get into game. Game files verified 100%

If you've re-started your system at least once, run Steam in admin mode and verified your game files a few times while in admin mode then it's probably time to contact support. I could run you through a bunch of basic troubleshooting steps that may or may not help so it might be faster to just put in a ticket. Here's the link:

I can't run the game since the Feb 23rd patch either. For reference Steam is already in admin and I have both verified the game files and performed a reinstall.

The advice listed here (in the initial post) did not help.

Some people have to re-install the EAC redistributable in addition to following the steps I outlined above.

Just open your game directory and go into the EAC folder, then run this file:

EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe
