How bad is the hacking in this game?

Some friends and I are considering buying marauders but I keep seeing complaints about hacking? Is it as rampant as it seems or just a few here and there?

I don't know where all this talk of cheaters comes from, when you are shooting at someone using 9mm and they have level 8-10 Panzer armor, it takes a lot of bullets to kill them, people assume it's cheats though, or when they see a bot spin around and shoot them they somehow think it's a player.

There's an update coming on the 10th that'll make it harder for people to bypass a stricter Anti Cheat.

Some friends and I played together as a crew for the first time after a nearly two week hiatus (which we took because cheating was getting out of hand) and found the problem is only getting worse. We played maybe 10 raids total, and all but 3 had someone hacking in them. Last round we ended up in the middle of two hackers who gave their rustbuckets speedhacks, unlimited ammo and unlimited armor.

100 hours, never see hacker, people complaining just sucks

There are hackers just like in every game but its not rampant as some people say. Almost 100 hours with 300+ raids and I can only remember 4 instances of blatant cheating where I genuinely felt robbed of engagements I should've won.

The other times the loss has always been on me whether it'd be due to bad positioning, being careless about making noise, not bringing enough supplies for what I intended to do in a raid or to put it bluntly a skill difference/issue.

That being said, its easy to get one shotted and vice versa. Sound is also extremely loud so its not hard to pin point where people are (with a decent set of headphones). AI can go from mindless worker ant to the terminator and ♥♥♥♥ you up if you're not careful.

Definitely would recommend picking up the game, it's great even as solo you just need to know where and when to pick your fights and not instantly loot every container/body you see.

Ran into one obvious hacking in the last three days. Dude just shooting through walls and heading shotting us one by one. Maybe 3-4 additional situations that were also sus. That said those 'sus' deaths are most likely just people better than me to be honest. My brother was complaining about an ESP hacker or two (hiding like a rat, someone comes running up and seems to know exactly what barrel or crate he's cowering behind) that were suspect as well to him.

So, less than what I saw in Hunt Showdown or Planetside 2 to be fair. PS2 was a hacker paradise.

We play East Coast US. We see all these 'wtf' moments if we play during the day, during peak EU hours. Never really see any problems post 5pm EST, so if there's a lot of hackers, it's Bulgarian Crypto miners or jobless american basement dwellers I guess.

cheaters have mass infected some servers, EU and NA are the only servers where the population dilutes the amount of cheaters, anyone who tells you otherwise has been shilling for the game since day 1 and has less than 100 hours gameplay.

To the fanboys who claim cheating is minimal in this game, why would they have performed 20 ban waves in less than a month if it wasnt a big issue?

I have never seen this happen one single time. I haven't even had a weird death in like 80 hours of playing. It's actually disconcerting to read all this because I often find myself killing full teams of 2+ people by myself as a solo all chadded up in panzer armor.. are salty nerds just slapping report every time they die???

The only times I've thought someone was hacking it could have also easily been some lag/desync, but those instances are like such a minority compared to my like idk almost 300 raids?
