but im sure someone with 200 hours and 1k raids is going to tell you otherwise because they watched some streamer play and the streamer told them the game has no hacks.
I dont need streamers, i got my own opinion and experience. Almost no cheater contact in 60 hours.
If its an online game, it has cheaters, but people tend to call cheats everytime they die cause they all are fps gods.
"Ooooh, it does not affect me so I don't care until it actually does and then I will be the one complaining" Great logic there. Fantastic attitude to have.
It does affect me. Like it does affect everyone. Its still just about people making a new cheater thread everytime they get killed cause they cant admit someone is better than them cause they 100% know they are god gamers.
If you get killed in 1 Out of 100 Matches by a cheater, yeah that sucks but what you gonna do about it other than report. If you get killed in 9 out of 10 matches by a cheater you might consider that you just are not good at the game and those arent actually cheater.
I would love to see how much AI has been reported for cheating.
If this game's matchmaking is based on Peer to Peer via matchmaker to search for a server, anyone who has a netduma router could know if they can go 'single player mode' by using the feature in that to only allow connections from the game within your city?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJrz7ltZnc8
It's netduma geofilter... Essentially someone with some know-how could 'block' connection to servers that are too far out somehow, but that means needing a way to sniff the packets on the app.
Generally in Marauders, if you queue up past a certain time, the game will forcefully throw you into a match if it can't find a decent one, so I wonder if you can trick it lol.
Seen hackers that have handguns running like machine guns, so they unload their entire clip in one burst -- and that's if they're not hacking to where they don't have to reload at all, although there's also hackers with pretty much instant reloading too.
Ironically, everyone I've killed, I can say aren't hackers, because hackers in this game are impossible to get the drop on or kill, because it's not a fair fight. You won't get the drop on them because they've got ESP. You won't win a firefight with them because they've got aimbots.
The lack of comments from the DEVS other than we've banned a handful of people kind of suggests they dont know themselves. Maybe a means to report cheaters via a 20 second video capture pre an obvious cheater being identified would be a start.
crazy thing is EAC is blocking system related utilities that then prevent the game running well or at all but does NOTHING to relevant to actual cheats. Money well spent (more a token gesture)
fun facts:-
EAC is owned by EPIC.
EAC has not been updated in 7 (now 8) months.
EPIC own Fortnite and use 3 variants of an anti cheat, likely based around EAC.
Tell me what incentive is there for epic to update EA? To help competition?
If fortnite still has cheaters what hope does this game have??
How about a an experiement - prevent certain countries well known for a far larger proportion of cheaters not being combined with european / american players and just see how the cheater complaints plumet rapidly or maybe Im wrong and nothing will change?
(especially as one well known cheating demographic has to use VPNs just to fully access the internet anyway....)
Anyway until the devs dig deep into their considerable profits and implement an actual working anti cheat method I like many will not be playing anytime soon.
aka ever.
Pity as it could be a great game (again) that could be greatly expanded upon (maps, ship combat, themes (modern space versus post war scifi etc etc) and become a giant in the PVP genre.
Everyone I kill = Fair fight.
Everyone that kills me = Hacker.
Classic
But if people think this game is hard then I hope they don't play Tarkov cause while I enjoy this game much more than Tarkov. It is also substantially easier than Tarkov as the same time.
Also I think that allot of players don't understand engagement distances for certain weapons and think just cause they have high level armor they can win just about any gunfight. I have melted a 3 stack of players with full level 9 armor with a Mac-10 cause I held corners while they pushed me 1 by 1.
