Stuck in the Plunder room
I'm stumped guys, this plunder room makes no sense to me. How do I get through it? And how do I get to the portrait in the corner to the left of the entrance?

You need move the roller clanks into position so you can make one into a launch pad to fling you up on that walkway by the exit. Roller clanks can't roll over the tracks, but they can also be flung by launch pads. You need to move around the big crates on the tracks to do this. This puzzle involves all the roller clanks in the room, I'd suggest you start with the ones closest to the exit and work your way back.

As for the portrait, which left do you mean? To your left when you just come through the entrance? The grapple points should get you there. If you mean a different portrait, describe it or take a snapshot and post it.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't realize rollers could interact with the jump pads!
I meant the portrait on the left from the door to the Grand Gallery. It's behind a small wall of rocks, the sort that are probably breakable with a cannon. There are at least two glowing blue loot pots nearby. I definitely can't access it with grapple points.

There is a way to do it if you think about what other things the roller clank can turn into, but there's also another tool you'll get later that will make that area much easier

I'll admit. The Plunder room has turned me off the game for now. Way, way, way too confusing to get any kind of overview, and the total lack of hints on what to do. I'll try again tomorrow with your hints in mind. Like the OP I had not thought of using rollers on jump pads - there was no hint that would work.

Thank you for the help.

The Fun Room off the hub is there to experiment with stuff, if you play around in there and try to get the treasure in the cage, you'll figure out many neat tricks.

It took me a while to figure out, but I really liked the Plunder Room puzzle, very clever.

Here's a tip as well: Roller Clanks can also stop other Roller Clanks from moving, but the one which got knocked into will move a little as well.

Same here. Just got there and somehow there seems to be pretty much no area to have the clanks jump over - every "railroad crossing" I try either the clank intended as jump pad goes down in the ditch or the other one jumps just a tad short.

Maybe my brain is a little muddled tonight. But if someone has a not too spoiler-y hint, it would be much appreciated.

Spark-ling regards.

If a clank isn't going far enough for a gap to be cleared, it sounds like you need to better place a springboard. If the springboard is too far away, you probably need it to stop the roller-clank closer to the edge than you are currently.

Is there anything you can think of to get a roller clank to stop farther than it is currently, without going too far?

Don't forget to look up for big droppable blocks that can stop a roller clank.

Sorry for the belated reply. I got it. And scored an achievement while goofing around trying to solve. Thank you all very sparky much!
