Thank you! Will try this. When I gain a level, I just choose the All-Around player autofill option.
how is advanced serve different from using normal serves - A/X?
Depending on the speed of the forward motion of the stick you can hit serve a lot faster/harder (and more difficult to control) than the default serve, the speed/power/quality of the serve is obviously improved by power, serve and stamina stats, the higher they are the harder/faster the serve is and the less chance of hitting faults etc.
You will find on hard difficulty and above (and I imagine in PVP as well), your opponents will not hesitate to do the exact same serve to you, so be prepared for that. On normal difficulty the worst you need to deal with is if the opposing player does a perfect return ace, so always recenter yourself after such a serve in the event they do manage to return the ball.
I got a legit ace tonight! Thank you!
Upwards flick is an advanced flat serve, when you are used to the timing, you can also flick the stick to the top right and top left to do the advanced topspin serve and advanced slice serve. I don't recall which of those serves turn away from the player so you can also attempt serving near the top center of the court (towards top edge of the box) to also get an ace.
I used to be able to do this in topspin 4, hitting an ace down the center of the court also feels really good if you can get it right.
