Serve aim is way too sensitive on xbox controller
As per title. The sensitivity for aiming when (specifically) using the xbox controller is through the roof. Using keyboard or even a ds4 is noticeably easier.

Aggree, If you find a way of tweaking the "dead zone" it will be way better, like in Steamdeck.

I don't think Steam settings can change how overly sensitive the controller is JUST for serving. It's fine for everything else and isn't that way on other input devices - it's a game bug specific to xbox controllers and has been noted on the official Reddit too.

Yeah that makes sense as its awful on the xbox pad for me, its a game problem not a steam settings problem

same problem here, it's quite impossible to aim currently with an xbox controller :steamsad:

Yep. Has anyone noticed the left stick is also extremely sensitive when choosing a venue? It skips at least one when you try to move between the options and choose.

Yes, noticed that last night - had to switch to the d-pad to be able to select the one I wanted as the stick kept skipping past it.

The thing is serve is the only time when you have to use the stick in an analog way.
For everything else, whether you press halfway or fully, it doesn't change anything.
During the game, we have 9 different directions and the precision depends on placement, timing and pressure time (so you can always push your stick fully ).

And so, we can change the sensitivity, it will only affect the service.

Hmm, you might be onto something with that, I suppose it doesn't hurt to give it a try.

I agree. Myself have xbox 360 controller and using either dpad or analog stick its impossible too aim serve. Circle jumps all ova da between spaces in service line place. U cant even hold it in corner, goes strait out. Any suggestion how to fix it? I have other controllers but this one im use too. Since i play with this pad online tennis for a decade and dont wanna change it

I'm slowly getting used to it and by very slowly moving the stick I can manage to get some shots to stay in but it's SO much easier with keyboard. I think the suggestion above, about changing the sensitivity of the left stick through Steam is a good idea - though you'll have to remember to change it back when you play another game.

Why should we have to? It's a bug and a pretty serious one at that. Needs fixing ASAP.
