Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022

Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022

Broadway Limited missing dependencies.
I bought the Broadway Limited DLC for Trainz 2022 PE. But it appears to have missing dependencies. However, the only thing that can be seen in the list of dependencies is that Kickstarter County 2 is not defined, not active. (By the way, it is installed and has been used several times.) The bonus PRR T1 is available.
Can someone tell me what I am missing here?

The problem is the included session is referencing the wrong Kickstarter County 2, all TRS22 editions of Kickstarter County 2 are <kuid2:661281:200039:#> current version is <kuid2:661281:200039:9>, <kuid2:661281:200007:34> might be TRS19.

To fix it you need to edit the config.txt in content manger right click on 3DZug The Broadway Limited and click open>edit config file text by default it opens in notepad replace the two <kuid2:661281:200007:34> entries with <kuid2:661281:200039:9>. They should be map-kuid and kuid-table zero. Save the file and in content manager right click on 3DZug The Broadway Limited and submit edits.

Good to go!

Actually, for TRs22 owners all you need to do is download the free Kickstarter County 2 route (TRS19) to fix it

@ Norm Beechy: thanks very much, it did the trick. No more warnings now. :104:
@ ElevatorMark: I tried to download, and in fact Trainzportal says it'll show up the next time I start Trainz, but it doesn't show up.
Thanks both for your comment.

Have you tried searching for 1044? That's the SC number for the DLC. It'll show up under the purchase tab only.

Thanks, ElevatorMark. That's one of the things I didn't know. KS 2019 is now present. :104:

As you've got a lot of experience with Trainz, I have one other question: do you have any idea how to get rid of the black lines when coloring the landscape. The picture below is taken on the Loop Line.

Don't worry, it took me a while to figure that one out as well.
Its due to how Steam handles the different versions so most of the times the DLCs purchased from the Trainz store will most times if not all, show up as SC rather than the name.
You can view the complete DLC listings that contains their SC number here - https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/Help:In-game_Downloading#Complete_DLC_Listing

Some textures have that issue (mainly the legacy textures).
From the screenshot, it looks like to me a legacy texture that wasn't replaced with the new PBR textures when the DLC was being made by the creator (as N3V themselves hardly makes any so everything you see are from community members like you and myself).

I hope you don't mind, but what does SC means? (My English is not that good that I recognize all abbreviations.) And also, how is this helpful?
And what about the new PBR textures? How do I recognize them?
Sorry abour all these questions. But giving a landscape the right color is very unsatisfying at the moment with all these black lines. It also seems that some colors lay 'on the ground' while others are 'floating' a bit above the ground. I suppose that's also a part of the problem.

I hope you don't mind, but I've got one other question: some content of the game is standard not installed, like simc:sc491, steam:570250, and others. Is it useful to install them anyway or doesn't it do any good to the game?

Ah, I see. PBR is recognizable by its name.... Sorry I didn't see that before... :steamsad:

Not all textures starts with PBR. The only way to filter out the legacy textures from the new PBR texture will be setting the build min to 4.6.

Once you get into the content creation side of things like building routes it'll make more sense but if you own the game to only drive trains then it won't matter that much ;)
that's what I do with this game - create routes that are of interest ;)

Thanks for all your comments. This all was very helpful. I'll stick to the PBR-named textures for now. Works fine with creating my route. And if necessary there is a great variety in the download centre. (And not only ground texture, but other PBR stuff as well.)

You're welcome.

Yeah that's how we route creators started out with using are the builtin textures as back when TRS19 came out, those where the only textures available at the time.
Now there are tons on the Download Station (content manager > dropdown filter to all).

PBR content really helps with improving the quality :D

I started with 2010 en later went to TANE. Last few years I didn't do much with trains, but gave it a new start a few weeks ago with 2022. A lot has changed indeed.
Thanks for giving your time to answer my questions.

You're welcome.

I started with UTC which was the 2nd version of Trainz to be released. It was the game I was looking for as I wanted to create routes and drive on them.

Most of the new changes have been introduced in TRS19 (mainly the PBR textures) along with the clutter and turffx which I also like as it can save me time with having to place spline grasses down. I don't miss those days lol

Enjoy the new adventures that Trainz has to offer :D
