lazarus power
I connected and repaired the power and even added a lot of power production, but yet, the lazarus platforms and the scrapper and crafter that are on the same level keep saying, they don't have enough power. Does the power not go into the building? do I actually need to build cables downstairs for it to work? If yes, that's stupid

The building power connection and switch only powers the lights, elevators, and doors. Any machines need to have cables run. It is part of the game to find efficient ways to route power, water, etc.

I have them connected to a wall socket, both power and machines. do I really need to connect the wall sockets for the power to work?
Those are just pass-through sockets to get through a doorway. Buildings do not work like the boat does.

You have to build your own power/utility grids. Connector boxes can be built on floors, walls, or ceilings to route things efficiently.

Yeah I agree..
You learn to build cables and connectors early and use them often, but to run cables down a whole tower-like building seems stupid and like the wrong solution. It also seems stupid to design a building that way. Are the devs trying to tell us that this is how the building was running originally, with cables all over, yet somehow powering the main switch allows you to turn on all the lights everywhere ?
I don't think it would be unrealistic to expect that powering a main switch also powers wall outlets everywhere just like providing power to the lights.
