Levelling balance
I feel like the amount of experience you gain from scrapping stuff should be reduced. I am level 25, and I haven't grown a human yet. Half of the skill tree is useless because you level up extremely fast just by scrapping up stuff

I think so too. I was at least level 10 before leaving the sanctuary, and that's without disassembling everything. Getting a quest when first venturing out to make a tier 1 solar panel was odd, when I already had two tier 2 solar panels and wind setup on the boat. I was surprised it didn't count the upgraded version for the quest, as it's still solar power.
I'm currently level 18 and just got to the first vault. I passed so many sites I wanted to explore, but I hadn't even attempted to complete my mission as a Caretaker, and I wanted to see what the human growing thing was about.
you max out pretty quick, in terms of relation though i think when more content is added and as the story is fleshed out 20, and even 35 will seem like super low levels.
At the beginning scrapping stuff is almost your only exp income and you need to unlock certain items, in order to be able to proceed. There are very few sources of exp and scrapping seems to be the biggest - there I agree. But reducing this, esp. at the start of the game, would maybe make it harder to start.
Maybe they could reduce the scrapping-exp gradually, because once above a certain level you have the most needed things to move on.

I also remember having unlocked many things earlier, than it felt I should've been able to. I didnt have any struggle leaving the frist location and felt well prepared for what awaits me outside. After that it went pretty quick tbh and I didnt even pay attention to the exp, as I always had some skill points saved up to unlock higher tier stuff. (And some stuff you dont need to unlock, so can skip those skills)

But I did clean up the entire location in the first place, and everything that came after - not everyone does that, so maybe the exp gain is designed in a way, that you can make it by just following the questline and scrapping the whole place is extra. I ve seen some videos from ppl who are maxed out, going to places I've done long time ago and the places be untouched (scrapping wise) with all stuff left laying around.
If it makes you feel any better, I was level 34 before I sent a human off into space.

I was so irked at how useless FELIS was, I attached him to the rocket I launched. Even with the brass telescope, I couldn't see him from launch control, but when I went back to the launchpad, I couldn't find him either so, my hope is the human has a robotic companion who has a pension for self demise. Good times.
