Are you reading the story, or just looking for lewd scenes? I mean everyone has their own tastes but seriously Being a ♥♥♥ is like a kid playing in the sandbox story wise. I enjoy it for what it is however to even compare it to the story here is well just 'misleading'. Perhaps reading more of the story, i have no idea where you got to when you wrote this, will get you immersed in the story, though if you stopped early on just to write this i have my doubts.
I am also a fan of LoF & BaD
A lot of famous and rich people (especially those that came originally from "the street" and weren't born from rich parents) don't just leave their stuff to their children. In their eyes, the kids need to deserve the stuff they will inherit, so that is quite believable.
In my opinion so far this game isn't as good as Leap of Faith when it comes to story and characters, but it is far better than BaD.
At the moment Tara seems like a nymphomaniac stalker, but she also is the only one that wants to have sex from the beginning with MC. The other women take far longer to warm up to MC. The only scene that didn't seem that realistic to me (although I can imagine there will be someone on the world who acts like that is well) is where Jaye's bestie (can't remember her name) has sex with MC, just because she hopes by doing that he will stay at home.
Perhaps the method of story-telling is not for you, as it is not a VN told in linear time.
I like the way the story gives you perspective from the past (so you know when the problem with Jaye began and why the MC and Jaye grew apart) and you better understand the troubles that the three main characters went through to get to where they are now.
To your comment about the division of the estate:
I think any parent that would give a multi-billion dollar estate, including a company employing hundreds of people, to their two children who have not demonstrated the ability to work together or manage anything on the scale of that company and those assets - no strings attached - would be incredibly irresponsible and not worthy of the wealth they built or the people they employ who trust them to make good decisions that protect those dedicated employees and their families who depend on those salaries and benefits.
I know people who have built businesses much smaller than this and the children have to work in the business, learn it and demonstrate a passion for it if they are to inherit it. If the kids have no skin in the game, why would they care?
I like Leap of Faith, BaD and Summers Gone but each is different and I enjoy the differences in their story-telling. I would not want any of these 4 fine AVNs to be clones of each other. I like their differences!
Chasing Sunsets is still at barely the half way point. Perhaps it would be better to set it aside and wait for several episodes and then restart and see if you can get immersed in the story and enjoy it.
It also sounds like you have focused on the Jaye path. Have you tried to focus on the Mallory path? Perhaps try that path when they add rev 0.5 and 0.6 to the Steam version.
Wow, really name calling because you have a different perspective of the substance contained in the overall story of a visual novel then myself.
The story content is basic, simple, and young in BAD, its about some kids having fun and I enjoy it for that. Really have no idea why you are personally offended by this comment. Especially considering these forums are for Chasing Sunsets and not BAD. The complexities that Chasing Sunsets addresses so far is on an entirely deeper and more emotional level then BAD from my perspective.
We can happily agree to disagree and discuss our perspectives here in the forums, however there is no reason to be personally rude while doing so.
That's because in this game the sex scenes aren't as important as in BaD. If you want games with little story and much sexual action, play games like Sisterly Lust, BaD, College Kings or College Bound. If you want games with less sexual action, but more dramatic storytelling, play games like this, Leap of Faith or Acting Lessons.
