Since the game is inspired by the events of the Canudos Massacre, a real and tragic event in our history, it was essential for us to tell this story in the voice of our own people.

We also never deliver anything of major importance to the story during combat; those tend to be more complementary dialogues.

However, we understand what you're saying, and we’re not ruling out the possibility of English voice-over.

Our budget is limited, but we’re exploring ways to make it happen. :)

Much as I can appreciate you wanting to keep the default authentic, I do hope for an additional option of an English VO. Hopefully you can find some way to make it work without breaking the bank.

Update: yes. Thanks to Mad Mushroom we got some funding for it, so the release version will have (optional) English VO

Wonderful! I was about to ask about this after playing the demo a bit.
I'm no yankee, as Ziltoidx might think, but there's just some languages that I can't stand, and sadly, this is one of them. I don't mean to be disrespectful, it's just a personal opinion of mine, and I would guess that the same goes for most people regarding other languages.

i only speak english and i much rather play games with their native vo. it means that 100% no modern language, profanity is not over used, i get to enjoy a language i dont hear in my daily life.

As someone who enjoys listening to foreign language i don't even know, i'm glad that English V.O will be optional. Yes i am this weird kind of guy who wanted Korean VO in Lost Ark even i don't know one bit of Korean...

its because emotions do not convey 1:1. i feel the same way about dynasty warriors. its a chinese themed game series with no chinese VO. i play nioh 2 completely in Japanese VO because it only took hearing english VO to be turned off.

Kinda same but because I really like the voice delivery and how it fits with the game's tone and setting
