Yes, things respawn. Takes a couple of days I think. If you can't find coconuts on the ground, look up. They do grow on trees. Spears and arrows will make them fall.

There are 2 green spots you can interact with on a small fire that you can place bowls on to boil water. Try kneeling if you can't find it standing.

At the starting spot there is s cave with obsidian and iron.

Eat everything, remember what it does. Learn through dying.

Did you do the tutorial? It shows you the basics of crafting and placing things, and your journal starts out with some basic structures like a lean to. Spears are just a long stick placed on the crafting table. Experiment and learn. If you place and item on the crafting table and a spot turns dark, you're on the right path. If there are no brown spots, remove and try something else.

i did the tutorial....several times cuz i was drunk through some of it... actually i gotta redo te part where i grappling hook up a wall for tobacco... i was drunker than i realised for that one.

So i finally watched a guy doing a survival run and saw what it takes to craft things.. I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS FREAKING ARMOR!!!
I"ll start looking up for coconuts then, i think i have an idea what to do with obsidian but not iron.

So the first tribal village you find at the beginning. there is a weird named bowl there... it wont go into either of the spots on the fire for cooking.. i also cant put in my bag.. is that just something to do with the story?
I'm also assuming i need to figure out how to make a grappling hook... since i cant get to lebda 2 or whatever it is since i have to climb some wall.

Yeah it's necessary for the story. You can use it like a normal bowl after.....something.

Grappling hook is found.

Do trees regrow? And how fast?

Do you remember that little oasis your characters fell into in the cutscene, the one with the waterfall and a log connecting to the rest of the jungle? The natives CAN'T get past that log. I would suggest setting up a little base in the safety of the oasis to learn the basics for a bit before you continue with the story.

I'll not write any crafting spoilers here, but if you really want you can find them on the Green Hell wiki, most of the recipes are the same as in the non-VR version :D

As for coconuts, look up at the tall palm trees, if there are green coconuts, knock them down with stones. After you harvest the coconut, use the empty shells to collect rain water, this is the most vital thing to do early on, before the dry season comes.

Obsidian is a rare material that is better than stone but weaker than metal (at least as I remember). The best use for it are obsidian axes, obsidian blade and obsidian spear.

Oh and the map is huge, it's just split into different parts that you'll explore as the story progresses ;)

ah ok, and my game is finally giving me coconuts.. im pretty sure it was bugged since for 12 new games in a row no coconuts ever happened and also...... dry season??? what do you mean.... dry season??????

Every 20 to 30 days the season in the game changes between wet and dry. You start the game in wet season, which means it rains A LOT. When you reach day 25 you'll start to notice a lack of rain, and after a short amount of time there will be almost no rain.

This has an advantage however, you can build campfires without worrying about shelters to protect it from the rain. The disadvantage is that you can't collect rain water, you have to boil river water make it drinkable.

I would recommend (crafting spoiler ahead) creating about 2 to 3 coconut bidons just to have an emergency supply of water in case something goes wrong. You do this by combining uncracked brown coconuts with a single rope. Each coconut bidon holds 40 units of water, and if you manage to find a metal bidon in one of the settlements it holds 100 units. Keep them in your base camp for emergencies and take 1 always with you, like an emergency water bottle.

Don't worry, this game isn't one of the easiest to survive in, but when you learn the ropes it's very satisfying :D
