Armadillo Hunting No Shells Only Meat

Every time I manage to kill an armadillo to craft some armadillo armor, I only get a piece of meat out of it. Tryed different types of tools or weapons, no shell appears. Is this, because I don't "now" the blueprint for the armadillo armor yet, since I'm at an early state in survival mode?

Are you killing the 3 Banded Armadillo instead of the Armadillo? Because 3 Banded Armadillos only give meat.

Good question. They're looked all the same to me so far. But if there are different ones I'ii go on trying.

I think the normal Armadillos are darker than the 3 Banded ones. Just so you know.

Yeah, eventually found a right one. And they somehow appear bigger than the other ones i think. Now I have my first piece of heavy armor now.

i definitely got an armadillo shell, i threw it aaway since i dont think im too the armor stage yet.
