the shop site states singleplayer only... (were u allowed to say that xD )
oh boy, oh boy, oh boy... u managed to hype me even more.
I was sure to buy it, now I buy it with fervency in my heart
So basically the answer is no.
I would wait till it's released and then decide. We all know what happend with games that later on got VR and they don't work very well, wonky controls weird things happening like a belt around your middle that moves with your head etc etc....
The normal game isn't even fixed with all their bugs so those things just let me wait till I know more.
Make me curious devs cuz i ain't it atm, i am more sceptical with VR games.
And completly new game I would not call it. Because in Unity there is an option to switch on VR.
Then the only thing to change are the controls, the animations and in your case the backpack. Assets can do a lot but it's not perfect. I've been there.
And we all know that's a pain in Unity with deprecated this and then in another version deprecated that. Then it's all back (build in) but work different but with the other things deprecated. And so on and so on.
No one is making the game completly new in these cases.
I see many difficulties popping up.
But we will see.
Take a look at Saint & Sinners how perfect that is in VR.
No Man's Sky did it good. Changed the cockpit for VR, no wonky controls whatsoever and work like a charm.
Hi! I can tell you that we are working on the VR version FROM SCRATCH for both PCVR and Quest. We are not the same team behind the Flat Green Hell, so we couldn't simply click the VR button to make it VR. We changed a lot of the mechanics to fit VR interface and potential. Our main focus is for this game to be quintessentially immersive - meaning that even if one person knows the flat Green Hell, they will get a different experience once they play it in VR :)
As for cross-play Oculus to SteamVR I'm not sure, but if your friend can play PCVR then yes. You can play with him. I will keep you updated if I get to know more
Well, i read on your website that the company started to make mobile games and consoles but currently it focuses entirely on virtual reality - it deals with porting and producing games for VR devices.
https://incuvo.com/
So Green Hell is an already made game by others (as you explaned) and you guys are an different team. I understand that but i can't believe that you made the game from scratch as the company is busy with porting already made games.
But it's possible that you got the assets and all that you need to make this game again for VR like other games did aswell and they didn't came out perfect as well, take Thief Simulator for example. Same concept.
But as i don't know everything, and i have to give this game and you developers the benefit of the doubt and see what this will bring us.
Like i said before...... Please make me curious again cuz to be honest.... The base game is still buggy and contain a lot of bugs and not needed things like when you die, the backpack that was full of stuff lays all over the place in a radius of let's say 10 a 15 meters. Saving and respawning is also a pain and a couple more bugs.
I streamed this game with 2 friends and we got all 3 a headache from it.
Hope this will all be fixed and take care of.
That is my main problem with this game and on top of it i already see problems coming up with VR.
Hope you can understand why I say this and how i see it.
It's just my experience with this game and i like to be honest.
I value your opinion and thanks for your honesty :) As it is stated on our website, so far we have only ported the games. However, with Green Hell VR, we have much more freedom to do more than the base game - the only thing that had to stay the same was the setting, assets and story. We can change balance of the gameplay, the pacing etc. so we tried to make the best out of it - we changed a lot of mechanics to be made for VR and be uniquely designed from scratch to fit the VR criteria.
This will likely be a pass for me because of this...
