There's a degree of random generation in raids, permadeath is an option, there's skills/level progression (though minor) and lots of random loot.
I'd recommend checking out some youtube videos to get an idea of what the game's like.
As far as I know, there's no new game plus.
It's heavily influenced by STALKER and Escape from Tarkov, if that tells you anything.
I will see some rewiew thx
@Elegant caveman's anwer is prolly the best one for this post:
This game will feels like a rough roguelike if you play on permadeath + max difficulty.
If you play on normal difficulty no permadeath then if you die, you will go back with all your stuff before the run start. So you doesn't loose anything and don't gain anything. You will get a time lost in the day you're in tho; Be aware of that so that you don't go into a raid at nightime when you didn't mean to.
No game plus. This game has a story but you will treat it as a "Sandbox experience" in the fact that you can farm any map you want to.
Sure, you want to progress the storyline but you're not force to. So take your time. If you need anything, just go into the map you need to even if it's the first map and loot whatever you feels like is worth.
Actually, that reminds me... maybe there kind of is?
I haven't finished the game yet, so I'm not sure, but I saw a bit of spoilers by accident (didn't read much, because I didn't want to know), and I think there's something at the end about a wish-granter, and apparently you just kind of... start back at the beginning?
So it's not a full/"real"/"proper" NG+, but depending on how that ending works, you might be able to start over again with... something?
I'm really not sure, though.
the moment you turn towards rogue settings, you are in for unbalanced rng pain that doesnt care about skill or fairness, a buggy untested mess.
i dont recommend it for playing first, game is rough already.
