When I die I lose all my equipment, can you explain this to me please?
Hello,
I bought "ZERO Sievert" and I just started playing, but I have a problem.
I selected the "Easy" mode, then I fine-tuned the settings as I wanted.
Once the first mission started, I started to pick up equipment, but after being killed, I respawn in front of the bunker without the equipment I picked up before being killed..
I thought I understood that when you die, you don't lose your equipment..
Can you explain, please?
Thanks

Yeah those settings are indeed confusing as f--k. So basically when you die, the game just sent you back to the point BEFORE you hop onto the train. The previous failed raid is simply gone like nothing happened (except for EXP). Those item loss penalty you tweaked are applied on the stuff you tried to brought into the raid.
---
You died.
You return to the point before the start.
Your loots are all gone, but you get your spent ammo and meds back.
THEN the penalty kicks in, take away stuff from you.
And if you turn off all the settings, you lose nothing.
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
The French translation with Google translation is not very good. At the end of your message you write "And if you disable all settings, you lose nothing." So as I understand it, there's a parameter for not losing the equipment you pick up before you die.
Can you tell me which parameter to change please?
Thank you.

You are supposed to survive. No option to keep loot if you died.

You'll lose everything you collect DURING the hunt, no matter what settings you change.
Change those settings can make sure you don't lose anything you have BEFORE the hunt.
Hopefully this translate well into french!
Hello,
Very good, I understood.
Too bad I can't change this setting in "Easy" mode
Too bad, I'll ask for a refund.
Thanks for your answer.

The only way for you to keep your items, you have to make it back to homebase before any death. Any death during your exploration, you will lose all items that you had pick up. You dont lose the items that you already had before the exploration. I always travel at night, enemies sight is limited, and they dont see you clearly on approach.

Hi
I would have liked the game to be tagged as a rogue like/lite that would have saved me a waste of time.

It's tagged as "extraction shooter", and those are characteristics of extraction shooter :)

would be if you toggle in hardcore where your save get's deleted if you die.
but this is an extraction shooter game, where the loot you have with you stays if you "extract" or "escape" successfully and hardcore isn't toggled by default unless you tweaked it in the settings when making a new game.

I think you confused this game with another genre and your expectations towards it is unfitting

Game is easy and boring even on medium difficulty, when you are used to it. Some players are just too greedy and "want it all" ))
