Patch 1.1.12 broke the game for me

I have a 32:9 monitor (3840x1080 resolution). I bought the game a couple of days ago and I was able to play in fullscreen mode at 1920x1080 with black bars on the sides. Not the best but since I like the game so much otherwise I was willing to live with it.
I fired up the game again today and I see that a 1.1.12 update has come out. Now, no matter what resolution I set it to, the game displays in fullscreen, but stretched to the sides, looking pretty horrible. If I set it to windowed mode it doesn't look stretched anymore, but then the mouse cursor is continuously drifting upwards by itself.
I've played it for a little under 2 hours, so I could still ask for a refund. But I really don't want to. Is there a way to revert the game to the pre 1.1.12 state? Or is there a fix coming?

Same.
Xeneon Flex, screen looks all weird. Also seems locked at 60 FPS, which I don't think it was before, looks blurry when the screen moves now.

I've posted a bug report on their discord (https://discord.gg/5WeBBMFWPM). It would be good if we get an acknowledgement that they are aware of the problem and (hopefully) that they are working on a hotfix or some other solution.
I can't believe I bought the game and 24h later I can't play it anymore :(
