What do you want them to say? Your words are "Barrier to entry may be too high." which generally implies you aren't as good as you think you are and can only get better to avoid the problems, no? In short, the "Git gud." kind of applies here, juvenile as it is.
If it's not the type of game that you could see yourself enjoying they you might want to refund.
The AK-74U is a trap, still easier than the makarov start but it sucks.
thx for the tip, ill give it a try!
I found the nagant to be a death sentence if there's ghouls about, great for people though.
Also, a high entry bar is common for some types of games; dark souls anyone?
No, Tarkov is more accurate, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. doesn't force that all or nothing pvp shoot mans mentality seen here, which is odd given that it IS a singleplayer game.
Played Stalker Gamma recently, the modder responsible went to lengths to incorporate some Tarkov elements without removing the inherent S.T.A.L.K.E.R. gameplay, this is is the opposite.
Besides now you're smarter as you have hopefully learned from your mistake.
As the other guy pointed out, pick your fights and be tactical, don't just rush in / through.
You lose progress, you lose time and with that hunger and thirst. Depending what start you took that can spiral quickly, doubly so when it gets dark as sleeping uses more food.
If you spend all your time inching about carefully and then die anyway to some random nonsense its even worse.
At this point I've lost track of the amount of times I've finished the second job from the barman and died on my way to extraction. Some were my fault, others were not.
Even sneaking about in the dark you get 1 shot by bandits or hunters you have no way of detecting and they have no trouble seeing you
The top down simplistic view really doesn't convey a sense of surroundings well. You may hear a ghoul but have no real way to tell where from. It could use some sort of visual feedback to help discern a bearing at least or bushes/trees rustling. The geiger counter too needs a more discernible way of telling how bad, either your fine or your dead and no way of knowing.
As someone who played Tarkov I find the game very forgiving.
