Armour repair questions

With the changes to armour repairs in 1.0 I'm really finding it difficult to keep up with the insane repair costs of the tier 5 and 6 armours.

Does anyone have any tips on how to quickly and easily repair these without having to go on a low tier armour scrapping run each and every time i take a few shots.

Personally, I’ve stopped repairing armor altogether. I just replace it after every kill, as most enemies already wear class 5 or 6. Sure, they’re broken (around 5-25% durability), but since armor is pretty much useless after update 1.0, it doesn’t make much difference ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

some tips:
PIck the armour perk/skill, upgrade the room to reduce requirements,. Use kits to repair up to like 60%+ and then use self repair, Pick the skill that lets you brake down armour to its components.

Max lvl Forge lets you scrap things in the field.

Just scrap enemies armor and bring back 2-3 stacks of scrap armor every run for use in the workshop.

That and bring a purple repair kit/repair... uh goo? with you every run.
