BUG: XP Loss on Level Up Bug. Anybody else?

Hey, I'm not sure which of these is the way it is supposed to be functioning, on level up, sometimes I keep the XP from my previous levels, and sometimes I don't. I'm making a post now because getting to level 8 took 1000 XP because I was going from 7000 to 8000 and now getting to level 9 is going to take 9000 XP because i'm going from 0 to 9000. Just figured i'd post, not sure which is the way that's intended but I know it shouldn't be switching back and forth lmao. Anyways thanks love the game.

Yeah i just had the same problem seemed to happen when i hit skip not sure if thats part of the reason or not. luckily im only set back to 0 to 4000 so hopefully this gets fixed before i level again.

yeah i was trying to find a way to debug my XP back up i wasn't really having any success, i tried using the debug mode to spawn enemies and kill them and then just kill myself at the end of the mission so i would keep the XP but that was really slow going lmao, oh well

surprised their isn't a debug option to just give exp.
