0.51 to 1.0?
Is this a cut and run or is 1.0 actually gonna mean something aside from QOL changes. I hope that 7 days to die's handbook isn't on the dev's desk right now.

0.52 was anounced today but honestly why does it matter what the number is? many developers and other industries will incriment different sections of the version number depending on what has been changed, many are strinctly sequential and some just pick numbers they like.

Considering the stuff that is MIA and the odd state/lack of options for certain features gives me no hope. The numbers have been pretty consistent, not like this jump which is a sign of devs that just want it to end and run away.

so if they are able to do the updates and get to release this quick after coming out about the time waste with mp, does that mean that we could have gotten this way sooner and probably a earlier release if they waited to do that MP stuff until after 1.0
There was no work for coop multiplayer, its all bullsh*t from dev to make up for all the time he wasted doing nothing. And the cherry on top he had to balls to say "oh and we failed to do that, so we will continue with single player updates"

From day one they always said no multiplayer planned. In some occasions they said "maybe but we first release the game, maybe after release we can think about it but its not planned right now" And after radio silence for months they go "sorry was doing multiplayer coop in secret and we failed lol, anyways back to grind xD"

F*cking bullsh*t.

*** Their pinned FAQ says no multiplayer planned as seen ***

Lead Zero Sievert dev here.
I understand the misunderstanding, but the jump from 0.52 to 1.0 and name of the updates has nothing to do with the amount of planned features.
Ever since the first free versions of the game that I released to the Discord community, I have always used the same method for naming updates. Every update that contained new features I added a plus one to the name of the update. 0.1 -> 0.2 ... 0.9 -> 0.10 -> 0.11 and so on.
The only big exception was 0.42 -> 0.5 as it was better for marketing and contained translations, which were much requested by the community.
I hope this clarifies the point.
What about the stuff that's still 'work in progress', will those be finished until October?
And what about certain quest-lines, such as the crystal, are those going to lead anywhere or is it literally in the sewer?

I see. You mentioned further content after launch, will some of that become apart of 1.0 or is it after that to stay on track and say it's 1.0?

Mr. Lead developer, thank you for clarifying on version increment convention you are using, but can you please address elephant in the room? (Which is sudden 1.0 with no new content for a long time and seeming like this EA was a scam)

Not even a single response from the dev, game is cooked.
The dev seems to prefer discord, given the calibre of this steam group I can understand why.
