Backpacks - move speed or carry weight?

Which do you prefer?

I guess... a mix of both? In the early game, I'd prioritize carry weight much higher. At that point, you're really gated from making big bucks by how much you can carry back home. But as you get further into the game – and, obviously, especially if you pick the Mule specialization – you'll reach a point where you frequently run out if inventory space instead of weight. Which is why I've never bought the XXL (29 kg) backpack, but run the 25 kg one with speed & ergo buffs instead.

If you get Mule then I would say go for a backpack that has some speed

Both. A backpack doesn't weigh anything and you'll almost always run out of weight before you run out of space.

Start with the backpack you want to fight in and swap it out for a high capacity backpack to carry the loot out after everyone is dead.
