It's sitting in my backlog waiting for updates
I do agree it is very hard to avoid boars currently as there are very few audio cues outside of footsteps. Wolves you will always here howling or panting cues. Which while more helpful still is difficult.
All and all when extracting take it slow and aim in the direction you are walking so you can avoid things. I also recommend listening as much as you can.
Always be looking around you with "aim", which extends your view a little. Be careful around obstacles that block your sightlines. Back up when possible, before turning corners.
You shouldn't be encountering wildlife (or anything/anyone else) other than at the edge of your screen, which gives you plenty of time to decide how to approach the situation.
Sometimes it's unavoidable, but the more careful you are, the less often it happens. I used to die a lot at first (not knowing which NPCs were friendly and which were hostile was also a big issue for me at the beginning), but now it almost never happens.
I restarted a game with the "difficult" start (just a pistol, less food) just to see how it was, and it was downright easy compared to when I first started. All because of experience and how I've changed how I approach the game.
Also note that noise from your gun alerts what's nearby, and enemies (animals & humans) might decide to come and check out what made the noise. Don't let your guard down after a firefight, thinking you're necessarily safe.
Never to use up your full stamina bar. Try to always keep half available in case you suddenly have to run.
once you learn it's pretty fun to get fully kitted and go wipe the entire mall just for funsies.
Personally I can't wait for the harder maps (labs) wut
Please expand on this and tell the class exactly how you think saying this is bringing value to the conversation and isn't just thinly-veiled toxicity.
Aside from that, all usual advice applies. Try not to sprint everywhere, check your surroundings constantly, advance quickly but cautiously, listen for audio cues, etc. etc.
That's a good point. Forgot I turned mine down to .33, and that no doubt helps a lot.
