Why cant my AK take the 5.45x39 i have

I bought an AK from the trader and all his 5.45 but i cant load my gun because its not the right kind of 5.45, but nothing on the gun description tells me its locked to a specific type of ammo that the trader doesnt sell, so now i softlocked my game.

When you put your mouse over the weapon you wish to purchase a window will show weapon stats and in that information is the calibre type.

It just says 5.45x39 it doesnt specify that it HAS to be PS ammo

It isn't locked to one ammo type. have you tried pressing Y to change ammo by any chance? (This is in the tutorial) As this will show a menu above your head allowing you to scroll through ammo types of that calibre.

Your character will only reload the previously used ammo type

none of the guns are locked to specific ammo type in their respective calibers. you are just doing something wrong and maybe should read the tutorials that are in the game. your game isnt soft locked, you just did something wrong or dont understand the mechanics or didnt read properly. dont blame the game.

It literally tells you in the section of the main menu that says "Tutorial", also in keybindings section.

Too many people here are being stupid and attacking the OP for being confused that a game in 2022 doesn't do something that almost every other shooter does and doesn't inform the player about it without forcing him to scroll through a hole bunch of tutorial pages.

He asked why, he received an answer, keep your rude fanboysm in check the game is far from perfect.

You know in old days you had a 90 Side long tutorial book when you buyed your game on a disk.

You all just lost patience, oh no 2min load screen.. oh no i have to click the tutorial and read.

Jesus he made a clean HUD why you cant just open the options for keybinding????
you dont even have to check for tutorial just press : ESC options keybinds profit...

It literally tells you the keybinding in the menu AND the tutorial - imagine playing a game WITHOUT spending the 2 minutes reading that or even checking the keybindings section, now that would be rather dense. At no point does the game mention it will not automatically switch to a different type of ammo for your gun if you run out of it. A feature that exists in 99% of all games that have different types of ammo for the same gun.

If you have exceptions from the rule, you need to explain them.

To claim that someone else is stupid for wanting clarification when the game didn't explain the exception to established video game mechanics is the height of stupidity. This game does not exist in a vacuum.
