Loading times.....

Today I bought the game and although I like it (and I know it's in early access)

I would like to know if something is any plan for reduce the loading times, they are really tedious...

the loading times really are not that bad. i get the want to lower them, but out of everything for this game i feel this should be low priority.

loading in tarkov can take up to 15 minutes at times. (this doesnt excuse it, but still it puts it into perspective.) coming from that game, waiting a single minute to load the level in zerosievert is fine by me.

You can go in the option menu and disable everything, turn off the rain, the grass, check up low spec PC and so on. The loading time will be under 30 seconds. You can keep the fog of war ON, it is not affecting the loading time.

I think for now, optimizing the loading time before implementing new stuff is counter productive. But be sure they will optimize it later on.

I have a really good PC, so it´s not the problem for sure.

But yeah, can wait until the devs optimize the game, I really like the gameplay

takes about 15 seconds to load a map... thats not long. I have everything on too. so its either a ssd or pc in general issue for you

How long does it take for you to be considered long ?
And what specs are your good pc?
My 2 cent is that the majority of loading time is actually generating the map not the asset loading.
So a basic SSD and decent CPU + RAM should leave you at most less than 30 seconds to load the level.

ssd is pretty much essential for games nowadays

What a well educated comment? Actually not, because this 200mb could be fully loaded into RAM in no time even from a calculator. So no, its not the harddrives load time, but the map generation that takes time...and CPU. *drops mike*

Loading times are weird in this early access version. I definitely found them bit too long especially considering I could die faster than it took to load the game early when I was learning the game :P

This game has very simplistic visuals and audio so what is taking so long to load? As someone alraedy pointed out, this game can be loaded to computer RAM and live there for entire session without most rigs even noticing 200MB was taken. Hell, my browser take significantly more.

Weird thing is it seems some maps take longer or some take shorter. Forest map is definitely taking longer than Swamp. It takes my computer to load the game anywhere between 20 to 45 seconds.

Never played Tarkov. Don't care about Tarkov. The map gen times are excessively long and don't match the rest of the game's pace. Hopefully improving that is a high priority.

It's probably less of an issue once you "git gud" but for me that'll be a while and I'm already tired of how much time I spend watching the map gen. It's like some kind of twisted death penalty.

PS - My PC is a recent and expensive build that's absurdly overkill - or should be.

Maybe thats the issue,cause Games are mostly not well optimised towards brand new tech.

Loading times from 10-15 Seconds.Ive played Tarkov a lot.People really shouldnt compare this with Tarkov.I will play this game a lot like i play Tarkov and so far loading times are definetly not an issue at that rate,except they really take more than a Minute for you.

The forest map has the longest loading imo. Maybe because there's too much things to generate. The other maps aren't that long compared to the forest. Personally felt the difference when I finally graduated from that map.
