im giving this a thumbs up as im an electrician and love the thought of this game but wheres the voltage tester and safe isolation procedure? i was on the job where your at the persons garage and the emergency light is not working along with other switches. i was confused why the emergency switch light was on but there was not power. first i would check the board for power then take the switches off and test them for power and work my way along. i couldnt do this and found myself guessing. oh and from the preview but was the light switch used to wire a socket?

Really enjoyed this demo, I saved old man from a dark bathroom, didn't help a child and licked some electrical wires like in the popilar game Amongus

There's a market for games that teach practical skills. If the devs can pull that off and make it fun at the same time then this game will be a huge success

Would be more realistic if you added annoying NPCs that watch you do your work and won't f*ck off.

Just finished playing through all the jobs they have in the prologue, so far i'd say its a pretty good simulation of what a real electrician would do, but I would like to see what the developers have in store for harder jobs that may require some more specialist tools.

- I would like to see some better safe isolation procedures involving use of a multi
meter/voltage tester (not with a non-contact tester!) to test for supply then isolate and test for
no supply.

- I would also like to see more work in the switchboard involving the neutral wires, protective
earth wires, incoming supply wires, main earth and equipotential bond wires, sub-mains, etc.
not just the active wire.

- I would like to see more testing of parts in the workbench when fixing items, i.e. use of
multi meter to test component values, or visual damage indicators. (this would also be good
for house jobs.)

- Word/phrasing changes:
- In the Distribution board those should be called RCD's (if they are monitoring earth
leakage) or Circuit Breakers, not fuses.

- Probably just a developer error but you called one of the outlets parts a light switch
housing.

Overall good looking game, can't wait to see and play the future updates!

(I am an apprentice electrician in Aus so was basing my review from experience in the real world (even though our standards are different) compared to the game.)

As someone who works as an electrician, I have a few thing to say about this game.

When it comes to being a simulation game, it is entertaining, simple to use and looks good.

In terms of simulation vs reality, it does has some flaws. The step by step is alright (turn off the power, fix the outlet, put it back, turn the power back on etc), but I also noticed for example that I could get electrocuted when touching the PE wich should not be possible (unless there is something seriously wrong), so it`s not exactly 100% accurate when it comes to that.

I would also like to see if there could be an expert mode, where you would also have to not only connect the cables and such but search for errors like some connections are wrong or just loose. And instead of pressing a button to see where the cables go you`d have to bring up the houses electrical drawing to locate wich room you`re in, where the cables come from and where they go (ex. outlet, switch, lamp etc).

But I did enjoy it and I think it has some good potential for people who are interested in this kind of games/work.
And yes, I do like my job, and I do like this game, simple as that xD

didn't simulate the essential parts of being an electrician; like being hungover from last night, complaining about the customer, texting your drug dealer at work , complaining about the plasterers leaving piss bottles everywhere and making fun of the plumbers.

Did a pretty good job of simulating not cleaning up after a job tho.

6/10 realism.

Brilliant Concept, and a good Prologue to start it off.
Im a Electrician so was interested in games like this and this one does not disappoint.
Quite accurate with the details and graphically as accurate as you can be.
Good idea with the fix it table, using soldering irons and tweezers too found that a good addition.
Would like to see meters in the game and more equipment for testing.

Id like to be able to run the cables off a 50m roll instead of 1 meter lengths and maybe with ties or cable clips/trunking etc.
All in all found it to be a game to look forward too, will be watching this one with great interest...
