I've seen a few posts here and there about getting the "disk write error" issue preventing you from finishing the download of the game. If you use Avast antivirus, this may fix your problem.

you're a dummy like me and try other troubleshooting solutions first such as reinstalling the game before checking Avast, it can sometimes "hang" the file where it can't be restored or deleted. You can fix

its avast... disable it

Haven't used Avast in a long time. That used to happen to me occasionally with some older games. Namely Battlefield 2142 for some reason. I'd just Disable Avast and go through with the Download. If
you absolutely need Avast, you can start it back up after the install is done.

Avast is so bad, please uninstall it and get Bitdefender

polaris exe makes problem on avg and avast free.
both take them in quarantäne.cant be .fix it namco or avg.i write too avg and avast.

For those who can't finish downloading the game: I went into Avast's quarantine tab and saw that it was taking the game's executable file there thinking it was a virus. So I disabled Avast for 10

Right click on avast in the toolbar -> quarantine -> you should see the polaris file being quarantined -> restore it

It fixed it for me
