Should i play online with 100 ping?
I've heard a lot of complaints about wi-fi players in Tekken, which makes me assume that playing with bad connection is really irritating for the opponent in this game.
Unfortunately, i don't have access to better internet atm, but i really want to play Tekken. Should i try playing with 90-100 ping, or will everyone hate me for it?

I prefer 100ping but wired than stuttery, fluctuating 30ping on a WiFi with random lag switch feel.
But people have a WiFi warning so it's still their choice to accept such match and take the risk.
Rollback was, precisely, meant to make +80 ping connections "playable" up to 200 or so. On older "netcodes" with delay frames only, 60 was max acceptable (T6, TTT2, T7 before rollback added etc)

problem with wi-fi is not the ping, but the connection instability. it may look fine at the beginning of the fight but then you'll get random stutters, which will make you drop combos and jump instead of sidewalking, which is extremely annoying.

I have high speed wire, but I play at 100 ping all the time, such is the reality. When I see 70 or less ping with the opponent, it's a rare luck.

Is the high ping even on cable? It is better to spend time looking for a job to pay better internet

you have 100ms ping to what? some fixed server? in tekken the connection is p2p, so the ping is between your and opponent's machines. it will be different for each opponent and depend on their location and internet quality.
My experience: 100 ms is kinda playable, if you have stable CABLE connection. It will certainly feel a bit delayed, u can drop some combos, but its PLAYABLE enough.

I'm using mobile internet connected to my PC with USB, and i have no idea if it's stable enough or not, but it always shows around 100 ping in other online games.

run some internet stability test for 10 minutes and you'll see. or just try it in quick matches in the game, since you already have it.

i've never used mobile internet for games, but on my phone it's pretty unstable which is not very surprising..

maybe if you live next to LTE/5G tower then it's totally fine xD

you can test your connection on this website:
https://packetlosstest.com/
Pick a server near you and one of few game settings and check how flat (or not) is your graph. If you have some occasional packet losses then it probably will be very bad online.

22-30 ping
I played against American guy with red connection. He had 250 ping but it was not even laggy to me. while some people with 80 ms can have a slow motion connection so it's really not somethign you should worry about since the ping metric is inaccurate.
