Yes, they announced 72 hours early access to DLC characters. They also said it will be possible to just upgrade, though you can probably just refund now that the game isn't out.

I don't see any difference on steam. Still states the same date as it was.

Apparently, since the option isn't there atm.

I am still debating whether I should buy deluxe or standard.
I don't really need characters as soon as they come out, or the 72 hours lead. But if they do what they did with Tekken 7 and make customization items exclusive to season pass, then I'd want that and may save a few bucks by buying Deluxe.

lol they do look a bit gaudy.
But Panda was wearing a dress, so I wonder if they do look different for some characters.
