Is Fujin rank in 80 hours ok?

I played Tekken 5 and completed all the Arcade story with all the characters in 2005. Recently I got Tekken 8 and decided to ignore all the game modes and just go to ranked with Nina and I have climbed to Fujin in 80 hours

probably eating rage arts and Heat burst.. seems to be the only crap people even in high ranks get away with... that and macro flowchart with VPN abuse..

The rule of thumb is that it takes 1000-2000 hours minimum to be anywhere decent at Tekken due to the sheer amount of knowledge you need to absorb among other things.

The dunning krueger effect will kick in at around 250-500 meaning you will genuinely believe you are not just decent but good until it eventually wears off

Universal among most PVP oriented games

Don't forget that in this game, there's unfortunately two different ranked mode :
- The one before 190~200k of Tekken Prowess.
- The one after reaching Tekken King and gaining the said Prowess.

Pre-200k Tekken Prowess Fujin is a "beginner" rank, it's not late Tekken 7 where Intermediate level effectively began in the blue zone.
Still... 80h and already Fujin as a casual is pretty darn good, even if it's Tekken 8.

Ranks have no value. 200k and 240k(TK) is a completely different Tekken.

My post lacked nuance because I try to not write essays for every little thing, but short answer is yes if you don't want to complicate things.

Long answer is :
- Initiate to Vanguard = Novice
- Warrior to Overlord = Beginner
- Genbu to Mighty Ruler = Decent
- Revered Ruler to Fujin = Good (You start to fight TGP and TGO secondaries at those ranks)
- Fujin to Raijin = Intermediate ( "Intermediate" as it is the transition between being okay at the game and having to win consistently against fundamentally solid players, you need more than just 50% WR to rank up here)
- Emperor to Tekken God = Advanced
- True Tekken God to Tekken God Prime = Expert
- Tekken God Omega = Pro Level

Of course everyone has his own definition for each rank, that's just mine.

Its very plausible to "git gud" within the first 100 hours, people really exaggerate how much time it takes to get good at FG's

and tekken is one of those fighting games where you can pick any character and get it in a week as a complete novice.. no. you can wing it using logic but you will eventually need more than just a launcher and flowcharting.
